    What is the format of the COBIT 5 Implementation exam?

    The exam is an open-book, objective-testing paper of four questions, each worth 20 marks for 80 marks in total. It is based on the COBIT 5 Implementation Exam Syllabus (2022 version) and requires scenario-based analysis at application level.

    How long is the exam and how many questions are there?

    There are 4 questions per paper and you have 2 and a half hours (150 minutes) to complete them. Each question is worth 20 marks, giving 80 marks in total.

    What is the passing score for the exam?

    The pass mark is 50 per cent, so you need 40 marks or more out of the 80 available. Focus on applying the implementation lifecycle, change enablement and programme management across all four topic areas.

    Is the exam open book, and which materials are allowed?

    Yes, it is an open-book exam. Only the COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide are permitted. No other materials are allowed, and our training includes technique for navigating these guides quickly.

    How is the exam delivered and what if I do not pass first time?

    The exam is delivered via PeopleCert OnVUE online proctoring, available 24/7, or at authorised test centres. If you do not pass on the first attempt, a resit is available; we provide first-attempt guidance and mock exams, and you can verify the current resit policy with PeopleCert.

    They are: what are the drivers, where are we now, where do we want to be, what needs to be done, how do we get there, did we get there, and how do we keep the momentum going. The lifecycle is a continuous improvement cycle, not a one-off project.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest syllabus?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the COBIT 5 framework and the COBIT 5 Implementation Exam Syllabus (2022 version), the current basis for the PeopleCert Implementation exam.

    Are practice questions and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes COBIT 5 Implementation practice questions and mock exams that mirror the four-question, open-book format, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.
