    What is the format of the COBIT 5 Implementation exam?

    It is an open-book, objective-testing examination based on the COBIT 5 Implementation Exam Syllabus, 2022 version. Only the COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide are permitted, and questions require scenario-based analysis.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has four questions, each worth 20 marks, for 80 marks in total. You have 2 and a half hours (150 minutes) to complete it.

    What is the passing score?

    The pass mark is 50 percent, so you need 40 marks or more out of the 80 available. Focus on applying the lifecycle, change enablement and programme management to the scenarios.

    Which materials are allowed in the open-book exam?

    Only two references are permitted: the COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide. No other materials are allowed, so efficient navigation of both books is part of good exam technique.

    How is the exam delivered and what if I do not pass first time?

    The exam is delivered by PeopleCert through OnVUE online proctoring, available 24/7, or at authorised test centres. If you need to resit, our trainers provide preparation guidance; confirm the current resit policy and fees with PeopleCert.

    What are the seven phases of the implementation lifecycle?

    Phase 1: what are the drivers; Phase 2: where are we now; Phase 3: where do we want to be; Phase 4: what needs to be done; Phase 5: how do we get there; Phase 6: did we get there; Phase 7: how do we keep the momentum going. It is designed as a continuous cycle.

    Do I need COBIT 5 Foundation before this course?

    Yes. COBIT 5 Foundation is the mandatory prerequisite and its concepts are assumed, not re-taught. If you do not yet hold Foundation, take and pass it before attending the Implementation course.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive syllabus-aligned courseware, industry case studies illustrating the lifecycle and change enablement, scenario-based mock exams and practice questions, and open-book exam technique guidance.

    Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?
