Market Forces Driving IT Governance Demand in Ukraine

    Scarce Credentialed Assessors

Ukraine has deep IT audit talent but few professionals qualified to conduct formal COBIT 5 capability assessments, making the Assessor credential rare and valued by employers.

    Large, Complex IT Estates

Major outsourcers and banks run sprawling IT governance environments where consistent, repeatable capability assessment is essential to target improvement and satisfy clients.

COBIT 5 Assessor is the highest-level qualification in the COBIT 5 scheme. It validates the ability to plan, conduct, rate and report formal process capability assessments using the COBIT 5 Process Assessment Model (PAM), aligned to ISO/IEC 15504. It is designed for IT auditors, GRC specialists, governance consultants and IT governance managers.

    General

What is the COBIT 5 Assessor certification and who is it for?

COBIT 5 Assessor is the highest-level qualification in the COBIT 5 scheme. It validates the ability to plan, conduct, rate and report formal process capability assessments using the COBIT 5 Process Assessment Model (PAM), aligned to ISO/IEC 15504. It is designed for IT auditors, GRC specialists, governance consultants and IT governance managers.

Is COBIT 5 Assessor worth it for professionals in Ukraine?

Yes. As NBU inspections, EU alignment and cyber scrutiny intensify, Ukrainian banks, IT firms and advisory practices increasingly need formal, standard-based governance assessment. Certified assessors are scarce, and roles such as IS audit manager in Kyiv average around UAH 683,000 a year, with senior governance roles paying more.

What are the prerequisites for COBIT 5 Assessor?

COBIT 5 Foundation certification is required before you sit the Assessor exam. COBIT 5 Implementation is recommended, and Foundation and Implementation knowledge is assumed throughout the course. There is no formal work-experience requirement, though practical IT audit or governance experience helps.

Why choose Invensis Learning for COBIT 5 Assessor training?

Invensis Learning is a PeopleCert Authorized Training Provider delivering courseware aligned to the COBIT 5 Assessor Exam Syllabus (2024 version), with experienced trainers, flexible formats and dedicated support to help you move from study to certified.

Is COBIT 5 Assessor recognised internationally?

Yes. COBIT is the globally recognised standard for IT governance, and the Assessor credential is the highest level of the COBIT 5 scheme. Because it is aligned to ISO/IEC 15504, assessments carry international credibility, which matters for Ukraine's EU-facing and outsourcing clients.

    Exam

What is the format of the COBIT 5 Assessor exam?

The exam is open book and objective, using the COBIT 5 Assessor Guide: Using COBIT 5 and the COBIT Process Assessment Model as the only permitted materials. It is based on the COBIT 5 Assessor Exam Syllabus (2024 version) and tests application and analysis in realistic assessment scenarios.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 8 questions, each worth 10 marks, for 80 marks in total. You have 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete it. All 8 questions are scored.

What is the passing score for COBIT 5 Assessor?

The pass mark is 50 percent, meaning 40 marks or more out of the 80 available. Because it is open book, efficient navigation of the Assessor Guide and PAM is essential under timed conditions.

How and where do I take the exam?

PeopleCert delivers the exam either online through OnVUE proctoring, available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. Candidates in Ukraine can sit it online from home or office, or at a test centre where available.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the exam; verify the current re-sit policy and any fees with PeopleCert. Our trainers provide first-attempt guidance, scenario practice and mock exams to help you pass the first time and reduce the need for a retake.
