What is the format of the EXIN ASM exam?

The EXIN Agile Scrum Master exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination with single-answer questions. It assesses your ability to apply Scrum Master facilitation and coaching skills across the five EXIN topic areas, rather than pure recall.

How many questions are on the ASM exam and how long is it?

The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and a duration of 90 minutes. It is taken either through EXIN online proctoring or at an accredited testing location.

What is the passing score for the ASM exam?

You need 65% to pass, which is 26 of the 40 questions correct. Focus on broad mastery across all five topic areas, since questions are distributed across them.

How is the EXIN ASM exam delivered?

You can sit the exam online with EXIN proctoring from home or office, or at an EXIN accredited testing location. Both options use the same 40-question, 90-minute format.

What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

You can resit the EXIN ASM exam by purchasing another voucher. Our training includes mock questions and exam guidance to help you prepare thoroughly for your first attempt, and selected plans offer additional preparation support.
