    What is the format of the EXIN Agile Scrum Master exam?

    The exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice paper with 40 questions to be completed in 90 minutes. It tests your ability to apply Scrum Master facilitation, coaching and agile delivery skills in realistic team scenarios.

    How many questions are on the ASM exam and what is the pass mark?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions, and the pass mark is 65%, which means answering 26 of the 40 questions correctly. You have 90 minutes to complete it.

    How is the ASM exam delivered?

    You can take the exam through EXIN online proctoring from home or office, or at an accredited testing location. Accredited training providers can also arrange the exam as part of a training package.

    What happens if I do not pass the exam first time?

    You can resit the EXIN exam by purchasing another voucher, and our preparation resources, mock exams and trainer guidance help you close any gaps before your next attempt. Ask about retake support when you enrol.

    How long is the ASM certification valid?

    The EXIN Agile Scrum Master certification is valid for life. There is no expiry, renewal fee or continuing-education requirement, so once you pass you hold the credential permanently.

    What topics does the Agile Scrum Master course cover?

    The course covers the five EXIN topic areas: the Agile Way of Thinking, the Scrum Master Role, Agile Estimating Planning Monitoring and Control, Complex Projects, and Adopting Agile. Together these build complete Scrum Master competence.

    How long is the ASM training?

    The training programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered over two full days or four half-days. It serves as practical Scrum Master development and full preparation for the EXIN exam.

    Do I need prior experience to take this course?

    No formal experience is required. EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation knowledge is recommended as a helpful starting point, but the training covers the fundamentals and includes hands-on practice, so beginners are well supported.

    Are practice questions and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock exams modelled on the 40-question EXIN format, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness before the real sitting.

    Is the courseware aligned with the latest EXIN syllabus?
