EXIN DevOps Foundation is the recommended prerequisite. No formal education or work-experience requirement is stated by EXIN, but the credential is built for professionals actively working in or implementing DevOps environments.

How long is the DevOps Master certification valid?

The certification is for lifetime. It does not expire, and no renewal, re-examination or continuing-education is required once you pass.

What is the format of the EXIN DevOps Master exam?

The exam is closed book with single-answer multiple-choice questions, based on the current EXIN DevOps Master Examination Specification. It can be taken online with EXIN proctoring or at an accredited testing location.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The EXIN DevOps Master exam has 40 questions and an allotted time of 90 minutes (1.5 hours).

What is the passing score for DevOps Master?

The passing score is 65%, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly.

What topics does the DevOps Master exam cover?

The exam covers six topic areas: Implementing Continuous Delivery (about 20%), Designing a DevOps Architecture, Improving Product and Process, Using Lean Management and Monitoring, Implementing Cultural Change (about 17% each) and Assessing Maturity (about 12%).

What if I do not pass the exam on the first try?

What will I learn in the DevOps Master course?

You learn to implement CI/CD pipelines, design a DevOps architecture, apply DORA metrics and Lean monitoring, improve products and processes, lead cultural change and assess DevOps maturity, all aligned to the EXIN DevOps Master Examination Specification.

What are the DORA metrics covered in the course?

The four DORA metrics are Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Change Failure Rate and Mean Time to Restore. The course shows how to use them to measure and improve software delivery performance.

How long is the training and how is it delivered?

The programme runs for 16 hours, typically as two full days or four half-days. It is delivered as live virtual instructor-led training and as customised corporate group training.

Do I need prior DevOps experience to take this course?

DevOps Foundation knowledge is recommended, and practical development, operations or DevOps experience helps because the exam tests application and analysis. The training reinforces concepts with real-world case studies to support your learning.
