What Is Fuelling Portfolio Demand in Tunis

    Digital-Government Delivery Gap

Tunisia is running well over a hundred digital-transformation projects across administration and infrastructure, but many lack a strategy-aligned portfolio governance layer, the exact gap PfMP is built to close.

PfMP builds strategic alignment and governance skills

    Offshoring Scale and Complexity

Tunis is a nearshore delivery hub for Europe and the Gulf, where firms run many concurrent client portfolios that demand portfolio-grade prioritisation and cross-programme coordination.

PfMP builds portfolio oversight and coordination skills

    Strategy-Execution Disconnect

Vision Tunisie 2035 sets ambitious priorities, but weak links between strategy and the funded project mix cause value leakage that certified portfolio leaders are now hired to fix.

PfMP builds prioritisation and value-realisation skills

    Portfolio Talent Scarcity

Tunisia's talent pool is deep in project managers but thin in credentialed portfolio managers. The advanced eligibility and panel review make PfMP holders rare and sought-after.

PfMP makes certified portfolio leaders stand out

    Capital-Efficiency Pressure

Cost discipline across banking, telecoms and manufacturing pushes organisations to optimise the portfolio, retire low-value work, and rebalance investment towards strategic priorities.

    PfMP builds portfolio optimisation skills

    Multi-Sector Transformation

Telecoms, banking, automotive and public services are modernising at once, creating overlapping investment portfolios that need governance, risk aggregation and clear executive reporting.

    Your Tunis Career Transformation

Your Career Before and After PfMP

    The Shift Senior Leaders Make

Tunisia's portfolio and project market is expanding with digital transformation and nearshore investment, and employers increasingly separate certified portfolio leaders from the rest. Here is which side of that line you want to be on.

    Today

Salary capped with limited leverage to negotiate in the Tunisian market

    After PfMP

Senior portfolio and PMO roles in Tunis reach well beyond TND 200,000 a year at director level

    Today

Shortlisted less often for roles that list PfMP as preferred

    After PfMP

Eligible for senior portfolio roles across telecoms, banking, offshoring and the public sector

    Today

Confident in delivery, but employers want portfolio-level governance

    After PfMP

Fluent in linking portfolios to strategy and governing investment at scale

    You earn your PfMP

    Before

Portfolio authority depends on tenure, not a recognised credential

    Now you have

A PMI portfolio credential recognised by leading Tunisian and global employers

    Before

Stuck at programme level with no formal portfolio mandate

    Now you have

A clear route into portfolio director and head of PMO roles

    Before

Delivery focused, with limited visibility of strategy

    Now you have

The governance skills employers want: prioritisation, balancing and value tracking

    Before

Recognition limited when you change sector or employer

    Now you have

A globally recognised credential that travels across sectors and borders

"The gap between delivering projects and leading a portfolio is increasingly a recognised credential, and the organisations that matter already know it."

How to Get PfMP Certified in TunisStep-by-Step Certification Process

The PfMP certification path in Tunis is the most senior on the PMI credential ladder. It centres on PMI's peer-panel review of your portfolio management experience, followed by a 170-question, 240-minute scenario-based exam administered through Pearson VUE. From initial application to exam day typically takes 3-6 months, including the panel-review evaluation window.

    Step 1: Confirm PfMP Eligibility

Verify you meet one of the three eligibility sets (Set A / Set B / Set C) , secondary diploma OR bachelor's degree OR GAC-accredited bachelor's, plus 96 months of professional business experience plus 84/48/36 months of portfolio management experience within the past 15 years.

Step 2: Enrol in PfMP Training

Choose your preferred Invensis Learning PfMP cohort (3-Day Live Online Bootcamp, E-Learning, or Corporate Group Training). On enrolment you receive PMI-aligned PfMP courseware, panel-submission templates, and scenario mock-exam material.

Step 3: Document Portfolio Management Experience for Panel Review

Compile your portfolio management experience submission to PMI's evaluation standard: roles held, portfolios led, governance forums chaired, value realised. Invensis Learning's submission templates and reviewer feedback help you avoid the common rejection patterns PMI flags.

Step 4: Submit the PfMP Application to PMI

Submit your application via the PMI candidate portal. PMI performs an initial review, then forwards the experience submission to the peer panel for evaluation. The panel-review window typically runs 60-90 days. Pay the PfMP application/exam fee: ~$800 (PMI member) or ~$1,000 (non-member).

Step 5: Prepare for the Examination

Strengthen your readiness through structured PfMP exam prep training, mock examinations, scenario-based exercises, portfolio governance case studies, and focused revision plans. This preparation helps build confidence for the examination and reinforces key portfolio management concepts.

Step 6: Earn the PfMP Credential and Plan CCR Renewal

On passing, PMI issues your PfMP digital badge and certificate. The credential is valid for three years; renew via PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) programme by earning 60 PDUs across the 3-year cycle in portfolio-relevant content.

    General

What is the PfMP certification and who is it for?

PfMP (Portfolio Management Professional) is PMI's most senior credential for professionals who manage portfolios of programmes and projects aligned to organisational strategy. It is designed for portfolio managers, PMO heads, directors of delivery and senior practitioners in Tunis with substantial portfolio experience.

Is the PfMP recognised in Tunis and Tunisia?

Yes. PfMP is a globally recognised PMI credential valued by employers across Tunisia and worldwide, including telecoms, banking, offshoring, consulting and public-sector organisations that run large, strategy-critical portfolios.

Is PfMP worth it for senior professionals in Tunis?

For experienced leaders, PfMP is a strong return on investment. It positions you for portfolio manager, head of PMO and director roles, which in Tunis reach well beyond TND 200,000 a year at director level, and signals portfolio leadership to employers. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

Do I need PMP or PgMP before taking PfMP?

No. Neither PMP nor PgMP is a mandatory prerequisite for PfMP. Eligibility is based on general business experience and portfolio management experience, though many senior portfolio leaders do hold one or both credentials.

How long is the PfMP certification valid?

PfMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

    Pricing

How much does PfMP training cost in Tunis?

PfMP training fees in Tunis are available on request and vary by format, such as live virtual, classroom or corporate group training. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD under regional pricing and is not part of the training fee. Request a quote for current pricing.

What is included in the PfMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PfMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing, with a lower rate for PMI members. PMI membership also gives free access to the Standard for Portfolio Management. Confirm current fees on the PMI store before applying.

    Exam

What is the format of the PfMP exam?

The PfMP exam is a computer-based, closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. Questions span five performance domains and are largely scenario based.

How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

The PfMP exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours. It is delivered online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis, and performance is reported by domain as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

What is the PfMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It must be passed alongside the written exam to earn the credential.

What happens if I do not pass the exam?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts, and our preparation resources and trainer support help you close gaps before you sit again. Confirm current fees on the PMI store.

Which standard and edition is the training based on?

The courseware is aligned to the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PfMP Examination Content Outline. This keeps your preparation matched to what PMI actually assesses on the exam.

Are practice tests, mock exams and assignments included?

Yes. The programme includes a large bank of practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Do I need prior experience to take the training?
