IT Governance Careers in TunisiaWhy Earn This Credential in Tunisia?

COBIT 5 Implementation is a recognised marker of IT governance leadership across Tunisia, valued by banks, telecoms, offshoring firms and consultancies that must connect IT to strategy, risk and compliance. As regulators tighten cybersecurity and financial-sector rules and Tunis grows as a French-speaking outsourcing hub, credentialed governance professionals are increasingly sought after. Demand sits from IT governance and GRC analyst through to IT governance manager and head of IT, and here is what the market is telling us now.

    GROWTH TRENDS

    • Basel and IFRS convergence tightening bank IT governance
    • 2023 cybersecurity decree and data-protection law driving controls
    • Tunis growing as a French-speaking offshoring and GCC hub
    • Startup Act and National AI Strategy 2026-2030 raising IT oversight
    • Deep developer pool but scarce certified governance leaders
    • AML and CFT obligations pushing formal governance programmes

Market Forces Driving Governance Demand in Tunisia

    Financial-Sector Regulatory Pressure

Tunisian banks face Basel and IFRS convergence plus tighter AML and CFT rules, and need a strategy-aligned governance layer that the COBIT 5 implementation lifecycle is built to deliver.

The lifecycle builds structured governance improvement

    Cybersecurity and Data-Protection Duties

The 2023 cybersecurity decree and the 2018 data-protection law raise the bar for IT controls, so organisations need governance professionals who can design and embed compliant practice.

    Change enablement embeds new controls

    Offshoring Clients Demand Maturity

As Tunis grows as a French-speaking outsourcing and GCC hub, offshoring firms must show mature IT governance to win and retain demanding European and Gulf clients.

Programme management proves governance to clients

    Digital Transformation Value Leakage

The Startup Act and the National AI Strategy 2026-2030 accelerate digital investment, but weak links between strategy and the funded project mix cause value leakage governance leaders are hired to fix.

The goals cascade prioritises IT investment

    Scarce Certified Governance Talent

Tunisia has a deep developer pool but few certified IT governance professionals, so a recognised implementation credential makes holders visible and hard to replace.

The credential makes holders stand out

    Governance That Does Not Last

Many governance efforts fade once a project ends. The COBIT 5 continuous improvement approach embeds practice so gains are sustained after the programme team moves on.

    Continuous improvement sustains maturity

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The paper has four questions, each worth 20 marks for a total of 80 marks, and you have 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete it. All four questions are scored, and each maps to a topic area of the syllabus.

What is the passing score for COBIT 5 Implementation?
