What Is the COBIT 5 Assessor Certification?UntitledThe Highest Level of the COBIT 5 Scheme

COBIT 5 Assessor certification training in Tunisia prepares IT governance and audit professionals to plan, conduct, rate and report formal process capability assessments using the COBIT 5 Process Assessment Model (PAM). The COBIT 5 Assessor (COBIT 5-A) credential is the highest level of the COBIT 5 qualification scheme, sitting above the Foundation and Implementation levels. Built on the COBIT 5 framework and the COBIT 5 Assessor Exam Syllabus (2024 version), the course teaches you to work with the PAM, apply the six capability levels and the nine process attributes, and produce evidence-based ratings. Because the PAM is aligned to ISO/IEC 15504, also known as SPICE, your assessments carry international credibility across organisations and regulators. For professionals in Tunisia's banks, telecoms, offshoring firms and public bodies, this is a clear route into specialist IT audit and governance assessment roles. The exam is delivered through PeopleCert, and Invensis Learning supports you from study to certified with structured, instructor-led preparation.

Why the COBIT 5 Assessor Credential Is Worth ItFor Professionals and Teams in Tunisia

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

COBIT 5 Assessor training helps experienced governance and audit professionals move from understanding COBIT 5 to formally measuring how capable IT processes really are. You learn to gather evidence, apply the four-point rating scale, and report defensible capability profiles. Whether you are an internal IT auditor, an external governance consultant or a GRC specialist, the credential proves you can lead ISO/IEC 15504-aligned assessments to a professional standard.

If you already hold COBIT 5 Foundation and want to reach the top of the scheme, the Assessor level is the natural next step. You gain the specialist assessment competency Tunisian banks, telecoms and offshoring firms increasingly look for in senior IT governance hires.

    • Validates specialist capability to run formal COBIT 5 process capability assessments
    • Positions you for IT auditor, GRC consultant and IT audit manager roles in Tunisia
    • Completes the COBIT 5 qualification scheme at its highest, most senior level
    • Builds fluency in the PAM, the six capability levels and the nine process attributes
    • Strengthens evidence-based rating and assessment reporting that employers value

    • Supports stronger earning potential across banking, telecom and consulting
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

COBIT 5 Assessor group training equips governance, risk and audit teams to run structured, repeatable capability assessments rather than relying on informal health checks. Teams learn to plan assessments, collect and categorise evidence, reach rating consensus, and communicate findings to leadership. For organisations facing regulatory scrutiny or serving demanding offshore clients, this builds a defensible, in-house assessment function.

If your organisation struggles to prove IT governance maturity to auditors, regulators or clients, Assessor-trained staff give you an objective, ISO/IEC 15504-aligned way to measure and improve it. Delivery is tailored to your processes and scheduled around your team's availability.

    • Builds an in-house capability to assess IT governance process maturity
    • Standardises measurement against the ISO/IEC 15504-aligned COBIT 5 PAM
    • Supports regulatory assurance expected by the Central Bank of Tunisia and ANCS
    • Enables evidence-based improvement planning across governance and management processes
    • Delivers customised, instructor-led training for audit, risk and governance teams

IT Governance Assessment Roles and Pay in TunisiaWhy It Pays off Here

Market Drivers Behind Assessor Demand in Tunisia

    Banking Regulatory Pressure

Central Bank of Tunisia reforms, from Basel and IFRS convergence to AML and CFT, push banks to demonstrate mature, evidence-based IT governance, the exact assurance a COBIT 5 assessment provides.

    Assessor skills support governance assurance

    National Cybersecurity Mandates

The ANCS and cybersecurity laws such as Law 2018-5 and Decree-Law 2023-17 raise governance expectations, creating demand for professionals who can assess process capability objectively.

    Assessor skills support formal assessment

    Offshoring Governance Gap

Tunisia's large nearshore IT services base serves European clients that require auditable, standardised governance, so assessed capability profiles have become a competitive advantage.

    Assessor skills reassure offshore clients

    Assessor Talent Scarcity

Tunisia has a deep pool of developers and project managers but few credentialed capability assessors, making the COBIT 5 Assessor qualification rare and sought-after.

    Certified assessors stand out

    Cloud Adoption Risk

New cloud rules and rapid migration widen the need to assess governance and management processes across changing IT estates, where structured capability assessment reduces risk.

    Assessor skills cover migrating estates

    Value Assurance Pressure

Cost discipline across banks, telecoms and services firms pushes organisations to measure, prioritise and improve process capability rather than rely on informal health checks.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

COBIT 5 Assessor is the highest level of the COBIT 5 qualification scheme. It validates the ability to plan, conduct, rate and report formal COBIT 5 process capability assessments using the Process Assessment Model (PAM), which is aligned to ISO/IEC 15504. It suits IT auditors, GRC specialists and IT governance consultants.

    General

What is the COBIT 5 Assessor certification and who is it for?

COBIT 5 Assessor is the highest level of the COBIT 5 qualification scheme. It validates the ability to plan, conduct, rate and report formal COBIT 5 process capability assessments using the Process Assessment Model (PAM), which is aligned to ISO/IEC 15504. It suits IT auditors, GRC specialists and IT governance consultants.

Is the COBIT 5 Assessor credential worth it in Tunisia?

Yes. Tunisian banks, telecoms, offshoring firms and public bodies increasingly need professionals who can prove IT governance maturity through formal assessment. Because credentialed assessors are scarce here, the qualification helps you stand out for specialist IT audit and governance roles.

Is COBIT 5 Assessor recognised internationally?

Yes. COBIT is a globally recognised standard for IT governance, and the PAM is aligned to ISO/IEC 15504, so assessments are comparable across organisations and jurisdictions. The exam is delivered by PeopleCert, which operates in over 200 countries.

What are the prerequisites for COBIT 5 Assessor?

COBIT 5 Foundation certification is required before you sit the Assessor exam. COBIT 5 Implementation is recommended, and the Assessor exam assumes both Foundation and Implementation knowledge. Practical IT audit or governance experience is strongly advised.

How is COBIT 5 Assessor different from COBIT 5 Implementation?

Implementation validates the ability to plan and manage a governance improvement programme using the seven-phase lifecycle. Assessor validates the specialist ability to conduct formal capability assessments using the PAM. Implementation covers governance delivery; Assessor covers governance measurement.

How many questions are in the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 8 questions, each worth 10 marks, for a total of 80 marks. You have 2 and a half hours, which is 150 minutes, to complete it.

What is the passing score for COBIT 5 Assessor?

The pass mark is 50 percent, so you need 40 marks or more out of the 80 available. Because the exam is scenario-based, focus on applying the PAM and the rating scale rather than memorising content.

Can I retake the exam if I do not pass?

Yes, retakes are permitted through PeopleCert, and our preparation is designed to help you pass on your first attempt with scenario-based practice and mock questions. Confirm the current re-sit policy and fees on the PeopleCert portal before booking.

How long is the COBIT 5 Assessor training?

The programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered over two full days. A half-day format spread across four days is also available, so you can choose the schedule that fits your work commitments.
