How long is the ITIL 5 certification valid?

The ITIL 5 Foundation credential is valid for three years. You renew it by earning 60 CPD points within the three-year cycle or by passing a higher ITIL 5 qualification. Confirm current renewal details with PeopleCert.

Do I need ITIL 4 Foundation to take the bridge?

Yes. ITIL 4 Foundation is the prerequisite for the bridge. If you do not hold ITIL 4 Foundation, you should take the full ITIL 5 Foundation certification instead.

What is the format of the ITIL 5 bridge exam?

The exam is closed book with single-answer multiple-choice questions. It covers only what is new and changed in ITIL 5 across five topic areas, so existing ITIL 4 knowledge is assumed and not re-tested.

How many questions are there and how long is the exam?

The bridge exam has 20 questions and an allotted time of 30 minutes. It is a short, focused assessment of the ITIL 5 updates rather than the full Foundation syllabus.

What is the passing score for the exam?

The pass mark is 65 percent, which is 13 out of 20 questions correct. The training focuses your preparation on the ITIL 5 changes most likely to be tested.

How is the ITIL 5 bridge exam delivered?

You can sit the exam online through PeopleCert OnVUE proctoring, available around the clock, or at an authorised PeopleCert test centre. You choose whichever is more convenient in Slovenia.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?
