What Is COBIT 5 Assessor Certification?UntitledYour Route into Capability Assessment

The COBIT 5 Assessor (COBIT 5-A) certification is the highest level of the COBIT 5 qualification scheme, validating your ability to plan, conduct, rate and report formal IT governance process capability assessments using the COBIT 5 Process Assessment Model (PAM). Delivered as instructor-led COBIT 5 Assessor certification training in Sweden, this programme turns experienced IT audit and governance professionals into specialist assessors employers can rely on. The course is aligned to the COBIT 5 Assessor Exam Syllabus (2024 version) and the COBIT 5 Assessor Guide: Using COBIT 5, with the PAM mapped to ISO/IEC 15504 (SPICE) for internationally comparable, evidence-based results. You learn to apply the six capability levels, the nine process attributes and the four-point rating scale across the 37 COBIT 5 processes, then document findings in a defensible assessment report. Delivered in live virtual and corporate formats, the 16-hour training suits IT auditors, GRC specialists and governance consultants. It prepares you for the open-book PeopleCert exam and the day-to-day work of assessing governance maturity, so you leave ready to lead assessments, not just pass a paper.

    Your Sweden Career Transformation

From IT Auditor to Certified Assessor,

And Where the Credential Takes You

Sweden's governance and resilience agenda is expanding with NIS2, DORA and digital transformation, and employers increasingly separate certified assessors from general reviewers. Here is which side of that line you want to be on.

    Today

Salary capped with limited leverage to negotiate in the Swedish market

    After COBIT 5-A

IT audit managers in Sweden average around 810,000 kr, with senior governance roles reaching higher

    Today

Shortlisted less often for roles that list formal assessor competency

    After COBIT 5-A

Eligible for specialist assessment roles across BFSI, tech, consulting and the public sector

    Today

Confident in review work, but employers want ISO-aligned assessment

    After COBIT 5-A

Fluent in the COBIT 5 PAM, capability levels and evidence-based rating

You earn your COBIT 5 Assessor credential

    Before

Assessment authority resting on experience, not a recognised credential

    Now you have

A globally recognised specialist credential in IT governance assessment

    Before

Stuck at analyst or reviewer level with no formal assessor mandate

    Now you have

A clear route into IT audit manager and head of IT governance roles

    Before

Framework knowledge, but limited formal assessment technique

    Now you have

The rating and reporting skills employers need under NIS2 and DORA

    Before

Recognition limited when you change employer or sector

    Now you have

An ISO/IEC 15504-aligned method that travels across sectors and borders

"As Sweden tightens governance and resilience rules, the gap between reviewing IT and formally assessing its capability is increasingly a recognised credential."
