IT Governance Pressures Fuelling Demand in Serbia

    New Information Security Law

Serbia's Law on Information Security, adopted in December 2025 and aligned to the EU NIS2 Directive, requires formal risk and information security policies, the exact governance work COBIT 5 Implementation prepares you to lead.

COBIT 5-I builds governance and risk-assessment skills

    Governance Maturity Gap

Fast-growing ICT firms and banks run complex IT estates but often lack a structured governance layer. The seven-phase COBIT 5 lifecycle is built to close that gap in a measurable way.

COBIT 5-I builds the implementation lifecycle

    Data Protection Pressure

Serbia's GDPR-aligned data protection rules and 72-hour breach notification raise the stakes for weak controls. Certified governance leaders help organisations stay compliant and audit-ready.

COBIT 5-I builds compliance and control skills

    Portfolio and Talent Scarcity

Serbia's talent pool is deep in developers and project managers but thin in credentialed IT governance professionals, making COBIT 5 Implementation holders rare and sought-after.

COBIT 5-I makes certified governance leaders stand out

    Strategy-Execution Gap

Boards fund digital-transformation programmes, but weak links between strategy and IT delivery leak value. Governance leaders are hired to align investment with strategic goals.

COBIT 5-I builds prioritisation and value skills

    Change Adoption Failure

Governance frameworks fail through poor adoption, not poor design. COBIT 5 change enablement gives professionals the tools to make new governance practices stick across teams.

COBIT 5-I builds change enablement capability

COBIT 5 Implementation is more than a credential. It is the skill set Serbian employers need to raise governance maturity and meet new security rules. Join the professionals leading that change and start your journey today.

    Your Serbia Career Transformation

Your Career Before and After COBIT 5-I,

    The Shift Governance Employers Reward

Serbia's ICT and financial sectors are maturing fast, and new information security rules are pushing organisations to separate credentialed governance leaders from the rest. Here is which side of that line you want to be on.

    Today

Salary capped at delivery-level bands in the Serbian market

    After COBIT 5-I

Senior IT governance roles in Belgrade pay well above the IT sector average

    Today

Overlooked for governance roles that prefer COBIT-credentialed leads

    After COBIT 5-I

Eligible for GRC, governance manager and PMO leadership roles

    Today

Confident in delivery, but not in governance and change enablement

    After COBIT 5-I

Fluent in change enablement, programme management and continuous improvement

You earn your COBIT 5 Implementation

    Before

Governance authority rests on your job title, not a recognised credential

    Now you have

A globally recognised COBIT 5 credential that employers trust

    Before

COBIT 5 Foundation gives you awareness, but not delivery proof

    Now you have

Proven ability to plan and lead a governance improvement programme

    Before

Governance handled ad hoc, one project at a time

    Now you have

A structured seven-phase lifecycle you can apply at scale

    Before

Recognition fades when you change sector or employer

    Now you have

A credential that travels across banking, telecoms and public bodies

"The gap between running IT projects and governing IT is increasingly a recognised credential, and the organisations that matter already know it."

    Course Content

What topics does the COBIT 5 Implementation training cover?

The course covers four topic areas: the need for a governance framework and the seven-phase implementation lifecycle, change enablement, programme management, and continuous improvement, all at application level and aligned to the 2022 syllabus.

What are the seven phases of the COBIT 5 implementation lifecycle?

They are: What are the drivers, Where are we now, Where do we want to be, What needs to be done, How do we get there, Did we get there, and How do we keep the momentum going. The lifecycle is a continuous cycle, not a one-off project.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

You need COBIT 5 Foundation certification, as it is the prerequisite. Beyond that, the Implementation level is designed for practitioners who lead or support governance improvement, and the training builds practical, scenario-based capability.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive courseware aligned to the 2022 syllabus, industry case studies illustrating the implementation lifecycle and change enablement, practice questions and mock exams to build open-book exam readiness.

How is COBIT 5 Implementation different from Foundation?

Foundation is a closed-book exam validating framework knowledge at awareness level. Implementation is an open-book, application-level exam that tests your ability to apply the lifecycle, change enablement and programme management to real governance scenarios. Foundation is the prerequisite.
