    What is the format of the DevOps Foundation exam?

    The exam is closed book with 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions. It is based on the DevOps Foundation Exam Blueprint and delivered online via PeopleCert OnVUE proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    There are 40 multiple-choice questions to answer in 60 minutes (one hour). The exam is closed book.

    What is the passing score for DevOps Foundation?

    The pass mark is 65%, so you need at least 26 of the 40 questions correct to pass.

    Are there prerequisites to sit the exam?

    No. There are no formal prerequisites for the DevOps Foundation exam. Attending accredited training is recommended to prepare effectively.

    What will I learn in the DevOps Foundation course?

    You will learn DevOps history and foundations, core practices such as CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and DORA metrics, how DevOps relates to Agile, ITSM and Lean IT, the continuous delivery pipeline, automation and tooling, and DevOps culture and organisation.

    How long is the training?

    The programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered as two full days or four half-days, and covers all six exam topic areas.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes. DevOps Foundation is designed for beginners and needs no prior DevOps experience. The training builds concepts from the ground up with practical examples and case studies.

    You receive DevOps Foundation aligned courseware, industry case studies illustrating CALMS and the Three Ways, practice questions and full mock exams to build readiness.
