What Is COBIT 5 Implementation Certification?UntitledYour Route to Leading Governance Improvement

COBIT 5 Implementation Certification Training in Poland prepares IT governance professionals to plan and lead a governance improvement programme using the COBIT 5 Implementation (COBIT 5-I) approach. It is the intermediate level in the COBIT 5 scheme, sitting above Foundation, and validates your ability to apply the framework in real organisational scenarios rather than simply recall it. The course is aligned to the COBIT 5 Implementation Exam Syllabus (2022 version) and covers the seven-phase implementation lifecycle, change enablement, programme management and continuous improvement. The examination is delivered by PeopleCert as a two-and-a-half-hour open-book paper of four questions worth 80 marks, with the COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide permitted. COBIT 5 Foundation is the required prerequisite. With Poland's banks, IT shared services centres and consultancies under pressure from DORA, the updated National Cybersecurity System (KSC) Act and GDPR, employers value professionals who can turn governance intent into a working programme. Whether you lead a PMO, advise on IT risk, or drive governance transformation, this training gives you a structured, recognised path. Start your COBIT 5-I journey with Invensis Learning.

Why Governance Skills Are in High Demand Across Poland

    DORA Operational Resilience

Polish banks, insurers and fintechs must evidence digital operational resilience under DORA. COBIT 5 implementation gives governance leaders a structured lifecycle to plan, deliver and sustain that improvement.

COBIT 5-I builds programme and governance skills

    KSC Act and NIS2 Deadlines

The amended National Cybersecurity System Act took effect in April 2026, with entity registration and compliance deadlines through 2027, pushing organisations to run real governance improvement programmes at pace.

COBIT 5-I builds implementation lifecycle skills

    Management-Body Accountability

NIS2 makes management personally accountable for approving cybersecurity risk measures. Boards now need governance professionals who can embed and prove practice, not just draft policy.

COBIT 5-I builds change enablement skills

    Governance at GCC Scale

Poland's IT shared services centres and GCCs run governance across many client entities and jurisdictions, demanding a repeatable, framework-based implementation approach that scales.

COBIT 5-I builds prioritisation and coordination skills

    GDPR and Data Governance

Sustained GDPR and data governance obligations require governance that keeps improving, not one-off projects, which is exactly what the COBIT 5 continuous improvement cycle addresses.

COBIT 5-I builds continuous improvement skills

    Scarce Governance Implementers

Poland has a deep IT talent pool but few professionals credentialed to lead governance implementation. The intermediate COBIT 5-I level makes holders rare and sought-after.

COBIT 5-I makes certified professionals stand out

COBIT 5 Implementation is more than a credential. It is the skill Polish employers need to turn regulatory pressure into working governance. Join the professionals leading governance improvement and start your journey today.

    Exam

What is the format of the COBIT 5 Implementation exam?

It is an open-book, objective-testing paper of four questions, each worth 20 marks, for 80 marks in total. The COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide are the only permitted materials.

How long is the exam and what is the pass mark?

You have two and a half hours (150 minutes). The pass mark is 50 percent, meaning 40 marks or more out of the 80 available. Questions are scenario-based and require applied judgement, so efficient navigation matters even though the exam is open book.

What are the prerequisites for the exam?

COBIT 5 Foundation certification is required. Candidates who do not hold Foundation must take and pass it before sitting the Implementation exam, as Foundation knowledge of the five principles and seven enablers is assumed throughout.

How and where do I take the exam?

PeopleCert delivers the exam either online with 24/7 OnVUE proctoring or at authorised test centres. You can sit it from home or office in Poland, or at a centre, once you are ready.

What topic areas does the exam cover?

Four topic areas: the need for a governance framework and the implementation lifecycle, change enablement, programme management, and continuous improvement. Each is examined by one 20-mark question.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the COBIT 5 Implementation course?

You will learn to apply the seven-phase implementation lifecycle, build the business case for governance, lead change enablement, run the improvement programme and embed continuous improvement, plus open-book exam technique aligned to the 2022 syllabus.

What are the seven phases of the COBIT 5 implementation lifecycle?

Phase 1 drivers, Phase 2 current state, Phase 3 target state, Phase 4 roadmap, Phase 5 implementation, Phase 6 outcome evaluation and Phase 7 sustaining momentum. It is designed as a continuous improvement cycle, not a one-off project.

Do I need prior experience to follow the course?

You need COBIT 5 Foundation as a prerequisite, since Foundation concepts are assumed. Beyond that, the course is built for practitioners who lead or support governance improvement, and the trainer guides you through applying the method to realistic scenarios.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive COBIT 5 Implementation aligned courseware, industry case studies illustrating the lifecycle and change enablement, mock exams and practice questions to build readiness for the open-book format.

    How long is the training?

The instructor-led programme is 16 hours, typically delivered over two full days or four half-days depending on the schedule format. It covers all four topic areas at application level.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the COBIT 5 Implementation course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to an advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

What training formats are available in Poland?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training and customised corporate group training, delivered onsite or live virtual for teams. Choose the format that fits your schedule and learning preference.

    How soon can I start?

New batches run regularly across live virtual and corporate formats. See upcoming schedules or speak with a learning advisor to find a start date that suits you, and confirm you hold COBIT 5 Foundation before the exam.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment?

Yes. Flexible options let you reschedule or move to another batch on selected plans. Contact our support team and we will arrange it for you.
