    General

What is COBIT 5 Assessor and who is it for?

COBIT 5 Assessor is the highest level of the COBIT 5 qualification scheme. It validates the ability to plan, conduct, rate and report formal COBIT 5 process capability assessments using the Process Assessment Model (PAM). It suits IT auditors, GRC specialists, governance consultants and lead assessors in Poland.

Is COBIT 5 Assessor worth it for IT professionals in Poland?

Yes. With DORA and NIS2 raising assurance expectations, Polish banks, business services centres and public bodies increasingly value assessors who can measure IT governance capability. Certified specialists stand out in a market rich in auditors but short on assessors.

What are the prerequisites for COBIT 5 Assessor?

COBIT 5 Foundation certification is required, and COBIT 5 Implementation is recommended. The assessor exam assumes Foundation and Implementation knowledge, so both are valuable before you attend the course.

Is COBIT 5 Assessor recognised internationally?

Yes. COBIT is a globally recognised IT governance standard, and assessor is the highest level of the COBIT 5 scheme. Because the PAM is aligned to ISO/IEC 15504, assessments are internationally comparable. PeopleCert operates in over 200 countries.

How does COBIT 5 Assessor differ from Implementation?

Implementation covers delivering governance improvement using the seven-phase lifecycle. Assessor covers measuring governance capability through formal assessment. Implementation is governance delivery; assessor is governance measurement, and the two are complementary.

What standard is COBIT 5 Assessor based on?

It is based on the COBIT 5 Process Assessment Model and the COBIT 5 Assessor Guide: Using COBIT 5, aligned to ISO/IEC 15504 (SPICE), and examined against the COBIT 5 Assessor Exam Syllabus (2024 version).
