How much does PfMP training cost in Hamilton?

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PfMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing, currently around USD 800 for members and USD 1,000 for non-members (verify at pmi.org). PMI membership can reduce the exam fee and give access to the Standard for Portfolio Management.

What is the format of the PfMP exam?

The PfMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, 4th Edition. It uses scenario-based questions across five performance domains, delivered via Pearson VUE.

How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

The PfMP exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours. It is delivered through Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What are the five PfMP exam domains and their weights?

The five domains are Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%), as set out in the PfMP Examination Content Outline.

What is the PfMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is mandatory alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What happens if I do not pass, can I retake the exam?

Yes. PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts, and our prep support helps you strengthen weak domains before you sit again.

What topics are covered in the PfMP training?

The training covers the five PfMP performance domains: Strategic Alignment, Governance, Portfolio Performance, Portfolio Risk Management and Communications Management, plus the application, panel review and exam strategy.

Which standard and edition is the training based on?

The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PfMP Examination Content Outline, so you prepare against the framework the exam actually tests.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes 1000+ practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Do I need prior experience to attend the training?

Anyone can attend the training, but PfMP is a senior credential. To sit the exam, PMI requires substantial business and portfolio management experience, so the course best suits experienced portfolio, programme and PMO professionals.

Will I receive a certificate of completion after the training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which support your PfMP application and ongoing development.

What are the eligibility requirements to sit the PfMP exam?

PMI offers three eligibility sets. A secondary diploma needs 120 months of business experience and 84 months of portfolio management experience; a four-year degree needs 120 months of business experience and 48 months of portfolio management experience, all within the last 15 years, plus the panel review.

How do I enrol in the PfMP course in Hamilton?
