    What is the format of the VeriSM Foundation exam?

    The EXIN VeriSM Foundation exam is closed book with single-answer multiple-choice questions. It is delivered online with proctoring or at an accredited test location, and it is based on the current EXIN VeriSM Foundation Examination Specification.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and you have 60 minutes (1 hour) to complete it. It covers seven topic areas, from the service organisation and service culture to the VeriSM model, progressive practices and innovative technologies.

    What is the passing score for the VeriSM Foundation exam?

    You need 65% to pass, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. Our structured preparation and mock exams are designed to build broad mastery across all seven topic areas.

    Are there any prerequisites for the exam?

    No. EXIN VeriSM Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is the entry-level credential in the EXIN VeriSM scheme. It is open to all, regardless of education, experience or prior service management knowledge.

    Where can I take the exam in the Netherlands?

    You can sit the exam online through EXIN's proctored system from home or the office, or at an accredited testing location. The exam is usually arranged through your training provider as part of a training and exam bundle.

    How is VeriSM different from ITIL?

    ITIL is a prescriptive service management framework. VeriSM positions ITIL as one of many practices within its management mesh, giving you a model to select and combine ITIL, Agile, DevOps, Lean and others by context. The two are complementary.
