Why Mexican Organisations Need Governance Leaders

COBIT 5 Implementation builds governance and control skills

    Nearshoring Scale and Control Gap

Record FDI and nearshoring expand IT estates faster than governance matures, leaving oversight and control gaps that a COBIT 5 implementation programme is built to close.

COBIT 5 Implementation closes the governance maturity gap

    Fintech and Regulatory Pressure

Rising digital transactions and fintech competition raise compliance and IT risk demands on established institutions, increasing the need for mature, strategy-aligned IT governance.

COBIT 5 Implementation strengthens compliance readiness

    Governance Talent Scarcity

Mexico produces over 130,000 engineers a year but few credentialed governance leaders who can plan and run improvement programmes, making certified holders rare and sought-after.

    Course Content

What topics does COBIT 5 Implementation training cover?

The course covers four topic areas: the need for a governance framework and the COBIT 5 implementation lifecycle, change enablement, programme management, and continuous improvement. Each is taught at application level with scenario-based practice.

What are the seven phases of the implementation lifecycle?

The seven phases are: what are the drivers, where are we now, where do we want to be, what needs to be done, how do we get there, did we get there, and how do we keep the momentum going. The lifecycle is a continuous improvement cycle, not a one-time project.

What is the COBIT 5 change enablement cycle?

Change enablement has five components that run in parallel with the lifecycle: Awareness and Communication, Desire and Willingness, Knowledge, Ability, and Reinforcement. It recognises that governance improvement is as much a people and culture challenge as a technical one.

Do I need prior experience to follow the course?

You need COBIT 5 Foundation, as its knowledge of the framework is assumed. Beyond that, the course is built for professionals new to leading implementation, and the trainer guides you from framework awareness to applying the approach in real scenarios.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive aligned courseware covering all four topic areas, scenario-based practice, mock exams and guidance on navigating the COBIT 5 Implementation book and COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide efficiently under exam conditions.
