Course Curriculumof the Scrum Fundamentals Training

The Online Scrum Fundamentals course is structured across six modules that progress from the foundational principles of Agile and Scrum through to practical, real-world application of the framework. Each module is designed to build on the previous one, ensuring that participants develop a complete and coherent understanding of Scrum as both a theory and a practice. The curriculum is suitable for professionals across all roles and industries, and the content is presented in a way that connects directly to the challenges and opportunities encountered in Scrum-based teams operating across the Malawi.

    • History of Scrum

Born out of frustration with rigid waterfall planning, Scrum turned "plan everything upfront" into "plan just enough to start."

The Practical Skills You Will BuildFrom Scrum Theory to Everyday Practice

This programme turns the Scrum framework into skills you can use immediately. By the end of the two days you can explain how Scrum works, take part in every ceremony with confidence, and help your team deliver value iteratively.

Read the Scrum Framework End to End

Understand what will you learn in Scrum Fundamentals from the very start: how Scrum theory, the roles, events and artefacts connect across an iteration to deliver value. You leave able to explain how a sprint flows from planning through to release.

    Apply the Six Scrum Principles

Put empirical process control, self-organisation, collaboration, value-based prioritisation, time-boxing and iterative development into practice, so you understand not just what Scrum teams do but why they work the way they do.

    Manage the Five Scrum Aspects

Work with organisation, business justification, quality, change and risk across a Scrum project. You learn how these aspects are addressed continuously rather than bolted on at the end of delivery.

    Run the Five Scrum Processes

Follow work through initiate, plan and estimate, implement, review and retrospect, and release, plus how Scrum scales to larger efforts. This gives you a practical map of how a Scrum project is structured from vision to delivery.

Contribute Confidently in a Scrum Team

Build the collaboration skills to add value in whatever role you hold, from developer to analyst to team lead, and to participate effectively in stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.

    Support Agile Delivery and Improvement

Learn to identify and help resolve delivery problems, embrace change as a normal part of Agile work, and use retrospectives to drive continuous improvement in your team.
