    What is the format of the IASSC Yellow Belt exam?

    It is a closed-book exam with 60 multiple-choice and true or false questions, allotted two hours. It is delivered through IASSC web-based online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Some forms include up to 6 additional unscored questions.

    What score do I need to pass?

    You need a minimum of 230 points out of 300. Questions are spread across the five DMAIC phases, Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control, with roughly equal weighting, so aim for broad understanding across all phases.

    How and where do I sit the exam?

    You will learn the five DMAIC phases at a foundational level: scoping problems in Define, baselining data in Measure, finding root causes in Analyze, testing solutions in Improve, and sustaining gains in Control, plus core Lean tools such as 5S, value stream mapping and Kanban.

    Can a complete beginner follow the training?

    Yes. The Yellow Belt is designed for beginners and assumes no prior Lean Six Sigma knowledge. Concepts are introduced step by step with practical examples, so you build confidence as you go.

    What materials and practice are provided?

    You receive IASSC-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock tests and exercises mapped to the 60-question exam format. These help you identify weak areas and reinforce the DMAIC concepts before you sit the exam.

    How long is the training?
