What Is Driving Demand for Process Improvement in Vilnius

Scaling Service Centres, Rising Quality Bar

Vilnius hosts part of Lithuania's 105 GBS centres employing around 26,000 people, and most plan to expand in 2026. Scaling without losing quality demands practitioners who can standardise and improve processes.

A Green Belt builds standardisation and improvement skills

    Automation Needs Process Discipline

Over half of Lithuania's service centres are deploying intelligent automation. Automating a broken process only scales the waste, so DMAIC-trained Green Belts are needed to fix flows first.

DMAIC fixes the flow before it is automated

    Manufacturing Efficiency Pressure

Electronics, automotive and medical-device makers in and around Vilnius compete on cost and defect rates. Lean Six Sigma talent is central to reducing scrap, cycle time and rework on the line.

Lean Six Sigma cuts scrap and cycle time

    Life Sciences Quality and Compliance

Lithuania's growing biotech and pharma manufacturers face strict quality and regulatory demands. Green Belts bring the measurement, capability and control skills these processes require.

Green Belts bring measurement and control rigour

    Improvement Talent Scarcity

Lithuania has a deep project-level talent pool but fewer certified improvement practitioners. An independent Green Belt makes you a clear, qualified choice to lead scoped projects.

A credential makes you visibly qualified

    Nearshoring Raises the Stakes

As companies nearshore operations to Vilnius for cost and talent, parent firms expect measurable operational excellence, putting a premium on data-driven Lean Six Sigma skills.

    After Green Belt

Eligible for improvement roles across manufacturing, GBS and life sciences

Improvement work depends on instinct, not a recognised method

Limited to your current role with no formal improvement mandate

    Now you have

A clear route into process engineer and continuous improvement roles

    Before

You can spot waste but struggle to prove the gains with data

    Now you have

The statistical skills to measure, analyse and validate every improvement

    Before

Recognition fades when you change employer or sector

    Now you have

A globally recognised credential that travels across Lithuania and beyond

The Skills You Will BuildAcross All Five DMAIC Phases

This Green Belt programme builds hands-on capability across the full DMAIC cycle. You will learn to define, measure, analyse, improve and control real processes, combining core statistics with Lean tools to deliver measurable results at work.

    Define Projects That Matter

Scope improvement projects with a clear business case and charter, capture the voice of the customer, identify critical-to-quality characteristics, and map processes using SIPOC and value stream maps.

    Measure with Data and MSA

Build baseline metrics such as DPMO and yield, apply descriptive statistics, and validate your measurement system with Gage R&R so every decision rests on trustworthy data.

    Analyse Root Causes Statistically

Use hypothesis testing, t-tests, ANOVA and tests for non-normal data to separate real causes from noise and prove what truly drives variation in a process.

    Improve Using Regression and DOE

Apply simple and multiple regression and designed experiments to test changes, model relationships, and select the improvements that deliver measurable, repeatable gains.

    Control and Sustain the Gains

Hold improvements in place with statistical process control charts, 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke and a structured control plan that stops processes from slipping back.

    Apply Lean Across the Workflow

Eliminate the seven wastes, use Lean thinking and value stream mapping, and integrate Lean tools within the DMAIC framework for end-to-end efficiency.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is an intermediate process improvement credential that validates your ability to apply the DMAIC method: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control. Awarded by IASSC, now part of PeopleCert, it is an independent, globally recognised mark of practitioner-level skill.

    General

What is the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification?

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is an intermediate process improvement credential that validates your ability to apply the DMAIC method: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control. Awarded by IASSC, now part of PeopleCert, it is an independent, globally recognised mark of practitioner-level skill.

Is a Green Belt worth it for professionals in Vilnius?

Yes. Vilnius employers in advanced manufacturing, global business services, life sciences and banking compete on efficiency, and they value practitioners who can cut waste and defects with data. A Green Belt strengthens your case for process, quality and continuous improvement roles, and the pay that comes with them.

Who should take the Green Belt course?

It suits quality analysts, process and operations professionals, engineers, team leads and anyone who supports or leads improvement projects. It also fits professionals advancing from a Yellow Belt or building towards a Black Belt.

Do I need experience or a Yellow Belt first?

No. There are no prerequisites for the Green Belt. Prior experience and a Yellow Belt help, but they are not required. The training is structured so motivated beginners can follow the methodology and statistics from the ground up.

How long is the certification valid?

The credential holds a current status for three years from the date you certify. To renew, you pass a shorter recertification exam, which keeps your status current for another three years.

    Pricing

What is included in the Green Belt course fee?

The fee covers instructor-led training across all five DMAIC phases, courseware aligned to the Green Belt Body of Knowledge, practice questions, mock tests and learner support. The exam voucher is purchased separately. Request a quote for current pricing in your preferred format.

How much does the training cost in Vilnius?

Pricing varies by format, live online or classroom, and by whether you train as an individual or as a group. We share current fees on request. Talk to a learning advisor for a quote tailored to your schedule and goals.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. The exam voucher is bought separately and its price varies by region. We can guide you through purchasing and scheduling it once you are ready. Ask us for the latest exam voucher details.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate Green Belt training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams in Vilnius and across Lithuania. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

Our training is built around the exam, with practice questions and mock tests mapped to its format so you prepare thoroughly. If needed, the exam can be retaken by scheduling another sitting through the official system. Ask us about our preparation support.

What is the format of the Green Belt exam?

It is a closed-book exam of 100 questions, using multiple-choice and true or false items. Some forms include up to 10 additional unscored questions. You have three hours to complete it.

What score do I need to pass?

You need a minimum of 385 points out of 550. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the five DMAIC phases, so broad mastery of Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control is the best approach.

How and where do I sit the exam?

You can take it online with remote proctoring, available on demand, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Both options are available to candidates in Vilnius.

Are there prerequisites to sit the exam?

No. The exam has no mandatory prerequisites. Training and hands-on experience are recommended but not required, which makes the Green Belt accessible to motivated newcomers.

What is the exam application process?

You purchase an exam voucher through the official ordering system, choose online proctored or test-centre delivery, then schedule your sitting. Our team can guide you through each step once your training is underway.

    Course Content

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes. The course assumes no prior Lean Six Sigma background and builds the statistics and tools step by step. Hands-on exercises and a project-based approach help beginners apply concepts with confidence.

What topics does the training cover?

The training covers all five DMAIC phases. You will learn process mapping, measurement system analysis, hypothesis testing, regression, design of experiments, statistical process control, and Lean tools such as 5S, Kanban and Poka-Yoke.

How many training hours are included?

The programme runs to 32 training hours, delivered in flexible schedules such as four full days, six shorter days or eight half-days, so you can fit it around work.

Will I work on a practical project?

Yes. The training includes applying DMAIC tools to a real or simulated improvement project, so you practise the method end to end rather than only studying theory.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive courseware aligned to the Green Belt Body of Knowledge, practice questions, mock exams and reference materials covering the statistical and Lean tools tested in the exam.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol online and join an upcoming live online or classroom batch in Vilnius. Choose your format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to an advisor to find the next batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer instructor-led training online (live virtual) and in the classroom, plus customised corporate group training. Choose the format that best fits your schedule and learning style.

Are weekend or weekday batches available?

Yes. We run both weekday and weekend schedules across live online and classroom formats, so working professionals in Vilnius can train without disrupting their jobs.

Can I reschedule my enrolment to another batch?

Yes. Flexible options let you reschedule or move to another batch on selected plans. Contact our support team to arrange this.

What support do I get after the training?

You receive post-training support, including guidance on exam scheduling and preparation, plus access to resources that help you certify and apply your skills at work.
