Governance Pressures Driving Assessor Demand in Jamaica

    Data Protection Act Compliance

Jamaica's Data Protection Act is now in force with an Office of the Information Commissioner overseeing it, and firms need formal, evidence-based assessments to show their IT governance controls actually work.

Assessor skills prove governance control effectiveness

Rising Cyber Risk in Financial Services

Banks and insurers face growing regulatory scrutiny of IT risk, and COBIT 5 process capability assessments give them an ISO/IEC 15504-aligned way to prove control maturity to boards and auditors.

    PAM assessments demonstrate control maturity

Governing BPO and Global Services at Scale

With over 55,000 digital-services jobs, Jamaica's BPO clients demand credible governance assurance, and certified assessors provide the structured, repeatable capability reviews global buyers expect.

    Assessor competence supports client assurance

    Shortage of Specialist Assessors

Jamaica has a deep pool of general auditors but few professionals qualified to run formal COBIT 5 assessments, so the Assessor credential makes holders rare and highly sought after.

The credential makes qualified assessors stand out

    Public Sector Digital Accountability

As government expands digital public infrastructure and online services, agencies need formal capability assessments to show accountability and target governance improvements where they matter most.

    Assessors bring evidence-based governance rigour

Strategy and Execution Gap in IT

Organisations fund transformation but struggle to measure whether IT governance keeps pace, and COBIT 5 assessments translate current capability into prioritised, defensible improvement plans.
