    The exam is closed book with multiple-choice and true or false questions, based on the IASSC Yellow Belt Body of Knowledge across all five DMAIC phases. It can be taken online with proctoring 24/7 or at a PearsonVUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The IASSC Yellow Belt exam has 60 questions, with some forms including up to 6 additional unscored questions. You have two hours to complete it. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control phases.

    What is the passing score for the Yellow Belt exam?

    You must achieve a minimum of 230 points out of 300 to pass the IASSC Yellow Belt exam. Because the questions are spread across all five DMAIC phases, broad understanding of the full Body of Knowledge is the best preparation.
