    What is the format of the Green Belt exam?

    The IASSC Green Belt exam is a closed-book exam with multiple-choice and true or false questions covering the five DMAIC phases: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control. It can be taken online with proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 100 questions and an allotted time of three hours. Some exam forms include up to 10 additional unscored pretest questions that do not count towards your result.

    What is the passing score for the Green Belt exam?

    You need a minimum score of 385 out of 550 points to pass. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the five DMAIC phases, so aim for broad mastery rather than focusing on a single area.

    Yes. There are no prerequisites, and the training builds statistical concepts step by step. Beginners get a structured path from basic metrics through to hypothesis testing and control charts, with practice and trainer support throughout.

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the five DMAIC phases, so you can identify weak areas and build confidence before the exam.
