    Your Ireland Career Transformation

    Where You Stand Today

    Your COBIT 5 Assessor Transformation

Ireland's financial services, tech and public sectors are tightening IT governance under DORA and NIS2, and employers increasingly separate certified assessors from general auditors. Here is which side of that line you want to be on.

    Today

Salary capped as a general IT auditor with limited leverage in the Irish market

    After COBIT 5-A

IT compliance and governance manager roles in Dublin average around €96,000, with Head of Risk far higher

    Today

Shortlisted less often for roles that list formal assessment or COBIT experience

    After COBIT 5-A

Eligible for IT audit, GRC and lead assessor roles across the IFSC, Big Four and tech

    Today

Confident in auditing, but employers want ISO/IEC 15504-aligned assessment capability

    After COBIT 5-A

Fluent in planning, rating and reporting formal COBIT 5 process capability assessments

You earn your COBIT 5 Assessor

    Before

Governance credibility rests on your job title, not a recognised assessment credential

    Now you have

The highest-level COBIT 5 credential, examined by PeopleCert and valued globally

    Before

Stuck at auditor level with no formal mandate to run capability assessments

    Now you have

A clear route into lead assessor, IT risk and governance leadership roles

    Before

An informal assessment approach that is hard to evidence to regulators

    Now you have

An ISO/IEC 15504-aligned method that stands up to Central Bank and DORA scrutiny

    Before

Recognition that fades when you change sector or move abroad

    Now you have

A globally portable credential recognised across Ireland and beyond

"The gap between auditing IT and formally assessing its capability is a recognised credential, and the organisations that matter in Ireland already know it."

    Course Content

What topics does the COBIT 5 Assessor training cover?

The 16-hour programme covers all five syllabus areas: overview of COBIT 5 process assessment, the COBIT 5 PAM, capability levels and process attributes, assessment planning and execution, and evidence, rating and reporting.

The PAM is the ISO/IEC 15504-aligned model used to assess COBIT 5 process capability. It has two dimensions: the process dimension (the 37 COBIT 5 processes) and the capability dimension (six levels from 0 Incomplete to 5 Optimising).

Do I need prior experience or knowledge to attend?
