What Is Driving IT Governance Demand in Greece

    EU-Funded Transformation at Speed

Recovery and Resilience Facility funding is driving rapid digital projects across Greek organisations, but speed without governance leaks value, exactly the gap the COBIT 5 implementation approach is built to close.

COBIT 5-I builds the implementation lifecycle skills

    Rising Regulatory Pressure

GDPR, NIS2 and banking supervision demand demonstrable IT governance maturity. Greek firms need leaders who can implement controls and improvement programmes, not just document policies.

COBIT 5-I builds governance and control capability

    Digital Banking Governance Gap

With Greek banks shifting a third of products to digital channels, governance of change, risk and value has to keep pace, and credentialed implementation leaders are increasingly sought after.

COBIT 5-I builds change enablement skills

    Governance Talent Scarcity

Greece faces a projected shortfall of up to 76,000 IT specialists by 2030. Professionals who can lead governance improvement programmes are rare and highly valued in this tightening market.

    Exam

What is the format of the COBIT 5 Implementation exam?

It is an open-book, objective-testing exam based on the COBIT 5 Implementation Exam Syllabus (2022 version). Only the COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide are permitted. Questions are scenario based and require applied judgement, not recall.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 4 questions, each worth 20 marks, for 80 marks in total, and you have 2 and a half hours (150 minutes) to complete it. It is delivered online proctored via PeopleCert OnVUE or at an authorised test centre.

What is the passing score for COBIT 5 Implementation?

The pass mark is 50%. You need 40 marks or more out of the 80 available to pass. Because questions are scenario based, broad mastery of the implementation approach matters more than memorising isolated facts.

What topics does the exam cover?

The exam covers four topic areas: the need for a governance framework and the seven-phase implementation lifecycle, change enablement, programme management, and continuous improvement. Each area is examined by one 20-mark question.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

You can re-sit the exam through PeopleCert. Our training includes mock exams, practice questions and open-book technique so you go in well prepared. Confirm the current re-sit policy and fee with PeopleCert before rebooking.

How long is the COBIT 5 Implementation training?

The programme is 16 hours, typically delivered as two full days or four half-days depending on the schedule format. It covers all four Implementation topic areas at application level and prepares you for the exam.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

You need COBIT 5 Foundation certification, as the Implementation course assumes framework knowledge. Beyond that, no fixed work experience is required, though the course is designed for professionals who lead or support IT governance improvement.

Are practice tests and materials provided?

Yes. The programme includes aligned courseware, mock exams, practice questions, case studies and knowledge checks to help you identify gaps and build readiness for the open-book exam.

Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the COBIT 5 Implementation Exam Syllabus (2022 version) and references the COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide used in the open-book exam.
