Do I need Agile Scrum Foundation before ASM?

How long is the ASM certification valid?

The ASM certification is valid for life. There is no expiry, no renewal fee and no re-exam requirement once you pass, so the credential stays with you throughout your career.

What is the format of the ASM exam?

The EXIN Agile Scrum Master exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination of 40 questions. You have 90 minutes and need 65%, which is 26 of 40 questions correct, to pass.

How many questions and how long is the ASM exam?

The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and a duration of 90 minutes. It is closed book, so your preparation should focus on applying Scrum Master concepts rather than memorising facts.

What is the passing score for the ASM exam?

You need 65% to pass, which is 26 correct answers out of 40. Questions are distributed across the five EXIN topic areas, so aim for broad mastery rather than focusing on one area.

How is the ASM exam delivered?

You can take the exam through EXIN online proctoring from home or office, or at an EXIN accredited testing location. Exams are also available via accredited training providers.

What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the EXIN exam, so you can identify weak areas and build exam readiness before the real sitting.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest EXIN specification?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the EXIN Agile Scrum Master Examination Specification and the current Scrum Guide, so you learn against the standard the exam is actually based on.

How long is the training and what materials are provided?

The ASM programme runs for around 16 hours, typically over two days. You receive EXIN-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams and reference materials to support your preparation.
