    What is the format of the PMI-ACP exam?

    The PMI-ACP exam is closed book with 120 multiple-choice questions, based on the PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline published in January 2018. Questions are distributed across seven agile domains and include single-answer and multiple-answer formats.

    How many questions are on the PMI-ACP exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 120 questions and an allotted time of three hours. It is delivered online with proctoring through Pearson VUE OnVUE or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-ACP?

    You need a secondary degree, 2,000 hours of general project experience within the last five years, 1,500 hours of agile project experience within the last three years, and 21 contact hours of agile training. PMP or PgMP holders already meet the general project experience requirement.

    What is the passing score for the PMI-ACP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis, and performance is reported by domain as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all seven domains.

    What happens if I do not pass the first time?

    You are permitted up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. PMI charges a reduced re-examination fee for the second and third attempts, and our practice questions and mock exams help you prepare with confidence for a first-time pass.
