How is learning assessed in this course?

Learning is reinforced through hands-on Azure exercises throughout the programme rather than a formal written assessment. You configure pipelines, deploy infrastructure and set up monitoring as you go, so you build real capability by practising it.

Course Content

What topics does the Azure DevOps course cover?

The course spans six modules: DevOps principles and the Azure DevOps ecosystem, source control and CI with Azure Repos and Pipelines, continuous delivery with multi-stage pipelines, Agile planning with Azure Boards and IaC with ARM and Bicep, containers with ACR and AKS, and DevSecOps with monitoring.

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes. There are no formal prerequisites, and every Azure DevOps service is introduced from a practitioner viewpoint. Some basic development or operations familiarity helps, but the hands-on labs are designed to bring newcomers up to speed.

Are there hands-on labs in the training?

Yes. Hands-on Azure exercises run throughout the day. You create a repository with branch policies, write a CI pipeline, add deployment stages, write and deploy a Bicep template, and set up an Azure Monitor alert and Application Insights dashboard.

Does it cover infrastructure as code and containers?

Yes. You learn infrastructure as code with ARM templates and Bicep, and containerisation with Docker, Azure Container Registry and Azure Kubernetes Service, including deploying and scaling workloads from your pipeline.

How long is the Azure DevOps training?

The course is delivered as an intensive one-day, eight-hour programme covering all six modules with concept explanations and hands-on Azure exercises throughout. It can also be arranged over two half-days for teams.
