Do I need an Azure account to attend?

You should have access to an Azure subscription and an Azure DevOps organisation before the training. Azure DevOps has a free tier at dev.azure.com for up to five users. Check whether a shared training environment is provided when you enrol.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will be able to manage Git repos with branch policies, write YAML CI/CD pipelines, deploy to Azure App Service or AKS, provision infrastructure with Bicep, set up Azure Monitor and Application Insights, and integrate security scanning into your pipeline.

Are there prerequisites to join?

There are no formal prerequisites. Some familiarity with Azure and basic development or operations concepts is helpful, but the course introduces all Azure DevOps services from the ground up, so it suits those new to the platform.

What topics does the Azure DevOps training cover?

The training spans six modules: DevOps and the Azure ecosystem; Azure Repos and CI with Azure Pipelines; continuous delivery with multi-stage pipelines; Azure Boards and infrastructure as code; containers with ACR and AKS plus Azure Monitor; and DevSecOps with Azure Test Plans.

Which Azure DevOps services will I learn?

You learn all five Azure DevOps services: Azure Repos for source control, Azure Pipelines for CI/CD, Azure Boards for agile planning, Azure Artifacts for packages and Azure Test Plans for testing, alongside ARM, Bicep, ACR, AKS and Azure Monitor.

Does the course cover infrastructure as code?

Yes. You learn to provision Azure resources with ARM templates and Bicep, understand deployment modes and what-if previews, build reusable modules, and deploy infrastructure directly from Azure Pipelines.

Is DevSecOps included in the training?

Yes. The course covers shifting security left with Microsoft Defender for DevOps, including secret, dependency and IaC scanning, plus Azure Key Vault integration with pipeline variable groups and branch policies as security controls.

How long is the Azure DevOps training?

The programme runs for one day of eight hours and can also be delivered as two half-days. It covers all six modules with concept explanations, Azure architecture context and hands-on exercises throughout.
