Course Content

What topics does the training cover?

The programme covers six modules: Minitab interface and data management, descriptive statistics and graphical analysis, hypothesis testing, statistical process control, process capability analysis, and regression with measurement system analysis (Gauge R&R). Every module is delivered with live software exercises.

Which control charts and analyses will I learn?

You will build I-MR, Xbar-R, P and C control charts, run capability analysis with Cp, Cpk, Pp and Ppk, perform t-tests, ANOVA and chi-square tests, fit regression models, and complete a Gauge R&R study, all within Minitab.

Is the training hands-on?

Yes. This is a practical software course. You follow along in Minitab as the trainer demonstrates each function, working through realistic quality and process datasets so that proficiency comes from doing, not from watching.

Will this help with my Six Sigma projects?

Yes. Minitab is the primary tool for the Measure and Analyse phases of Six Sigma DMAIC. The training gives you the hands-on skills to perform the descriptive statistics, hypothesis tests, control charts and capability studies those phases require.

What materials are provided?

You receive structured courseware, practical reference guides and realistic datasets used during the exercises, plus learner support. These materials help you repeat the analyses in your own work after the training.

Assessment

Is there an exam for this training?

No. Minitab Essentials Training is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through live, hands-on Minitab exercises throughout the programme rather than through a formal test.

What do I receive on completion?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning confirming that you have completed the programme. The practical Minitab skills you gain are immediately applicable and do not expire.

How is my learning assessed?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you practise each technique on realistic datasets during the sessions, which lets you and the trainer confirm your understanding as you progress through each module.

How long is the training?

The programme is delivered in one intensive day of about eight hours, covering all six modules with live software exercises. It can also be arranged as two half-day sessions, depending on the schedule that suits you or your team.

Will I be able to apply the skills straight away?

Yes. Because the training is hands-on and uses realistic quality data, you leave able to import data, build charts, run tests, and produce capability and control-chart reports in Minitab on your own work immediately.
