What is included in the PfMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PfMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. For reference, it is around USD 800 for PMI members and USD 1,000 for non-members; confirm current fees on the PMI store before you apply.

What is the format of the PfMP exam?

The PfMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario and situational questions across five performance domains.

How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

The PfMP exam has 170 questions and a four-hour (240-minute) allotted time. It is delivered by Pearson VUE, either at a test centre or through OnVUE online proctoring.

What are the PfMP exam domains and their weights?

Five domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%), all drawn from the current PfMP Examination Content Outline.

What is the PfMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. Both the panel review and the written exam must be passed to earn the credential.

What if I do not pass the PfMP exam first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, and reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our preparation, mock exams and trainer support are designed to help you pass with confidence.

What topics are covered in the PfMP training?

The training covers the five PfMP performance domains: Strategic Alignment, Governance, Portfolio Performance, Portfolio Risk Management and Communications Management, plus the application, panel review and exam strategy, all aligned to the Fourth Edition standard.

What learning resources and materials are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PfMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, an overview of the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition, templates, flashcards and topic-wise quizzes.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you find weak areas and build readiness for the 170-question exam.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PfMP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PfMP Examination Content Outline, so you study the material the exam actually tests.

Do I need prior experience to benefit from the training?

The training is built for senior professionals, and the PfMP itself requires substantial portfolio experience to sit the exam. If you meet PMI's eligibility, the programme consolidates your knowledge and prepares you for the application, panel review and exam.

What are the eligibility requirements to earn the PfMP?

PMI requires 120 months of professional business experience within the past 15 years, plus portfolio management experience of 84 months with a secondary diploma, 48 months with a bachelor's degree, or 36 months with a GAC-accredited degree, and a panel review.

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?
