    What is the format of the COBIT 5 Assessor exam?

    The exam is an open-book, objective test based on the COBIT 5 Assessor Exam Syllabus (2024 version). Only the COBIT 5 Assessor Guide: Using COBIT 5 and the COBIT Process Assessment Model are permitted during the exam.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The Assessor paper has 8 questions, each worth 10 marks, for a total of 80 marks. You have 150 minutes (2.5 hours) to complete it.

    What is the passing score for the COBIT 5 Assessor exam?

    The pass mark is 50%. You must achieve 40 marks or more out of the 80 available to pass.

    How is the COBIT 5 Assessor exam delivered?

    You can sit the exam through PeopleCert OnVUE online proctoring, available 24/7, or at a PeopleCert authorised test centre. Both options use the same open-book format.

    What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?

    The course covers five areas: an overview of COBIT 5 process assessment, the Process Assessment Model (PAM), capability levels and process attributes, assessment planning and execution, and evidence, rating and reporting.

    Do I need COBIT 5 Foundation before this course?

    Yes. COBIT 5 Foundation is a mandatory prerequisite, and Implementation is recommended. The Assessor course does not re-teach the framework basics; it assumes them and focuses on specialist assessment skills.

    What are the six capability levels and nine process attributes?

    The six capability levels run from Level 0 Incomplete to Level 5 Optimising. The nine process attributes, PA 1.1 through PA 5.2, are rated using a four-point scale to determine each process capability level.

    Are practice questions and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes scenario-based practice questions and mock exams mapped to the 8-question, open-book format, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

    Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?
