    How many questions are on the EXIN SIAM Foundation exam?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and a duration of 60 minutes. It is closed book and can be taken online with EXIN proctoring or at an accredited test location.

    You need 65% to pass, which is 26 out of 40 questions correct.

    What topics does the exam cover?

    The EXIN SIAM Foundation Examination Specification covers seven topic areas: introduction to SIAM, the implementation roadmap, roles and responsibilities, SIAM practices, supporting processes, challenges and risks, and SIAM and other practices.

    Can a beginner take SIAM Foundation?

    Yes. It is the entry-level credential in the EXIN SIAM scheme with no prerequisites, so beginners are welcome. Basic ITSM awareness helps but is not required, and the training builds the concepts from the ground up.

    What will I learn in the course?

    You will learn the SIAM ecosystem and principles, the three-layer model, the four service integrator sourcing options, SIAM roles and governance, cross-provider processes and practices, and how SIAM relates to ITIL, COBIT, ISO/IEC 20000, Agile and DevOps.

    How long is the training?

    The SIAM Foundation programme is typically delivered as 16 hours of training, usually over two days, covering all seven examination topic areas as exam preparation.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive structured courseware mapped to the EXIN topic areas, practice questions, mock preparation and reference to the Scopism SIAM Body of Knowledge, plus trainer support.

    Is prior ITIL knowledge required?

    No. ITIL is not a prerequisite, though ITIL Foundation knowledge makes the content more familiar. SIAM adds the multi-supplier integration and governance layer on top of general ITSM.
