    General

Is the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification worth it in Shenzhen?

Yes. PRINCE2 Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor a globally recognised project method, and Shenzhen employers in technology, telecoms, manufacturing and finance increasingly prefer certified project leaders. With project manager pay averaging around ¥442,000 and senior bands far higher, the credential supports strong career progression.

What is PRINCE2 Practitioner and who is it for?

PRINCE2 Practitioner (PRINCE2-P) is the advanced level of the PRINCE2 scheme, governed by AXELOS and delivered by PeopleCert. It validates your ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 to real project scenarios. It suits practising and aspiring project managers, PRINCE2 Foundation holders, and PMP or CAPM holders adding a method credential.

Which PRINCE2 edition does the training cover?

The training is based on the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), the current version from PeopleCert and AXELOS. PRINCE2 7 introduced People Management as a core focus, renamed Themes to Practices, and added Sustainability and ESG, digital and data management, and updated processes.

Do I need PRINCE2 Foundation before Practitioner?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation is the standard prerequisite for Practitioner. Accepted equivalents also include PMP, CAPM and IPMA Level A/B/C/D. Verify the current accepted equivalents on peoplecert.org before you apply.

How long is the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification valid?

PRINCE2 Practitioner is valid for three years. You can renew by retaking and passing the Practitioner exam, completing continuing professional development through a PeopleCert MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher-level PRINCE2 qualification.

    Pricing

What is included in the PRINCE2 Practitioner course fee?

The training fee typically includes accredited PRINCE2 courseware, scenario-based practice, mock exams, open-book exam technique sessions and learner support. Delivery formats and exam voucher inclusion vary by package. Request a quote for the option that fits you.

How much does PRINCE2 Practitioner training cost in Shenzhen?

Pricing varies by format and package, so course fees are available on request. The PeopleCert exam fee is billed separately and varies by region and channel; confirm current exam pricing on peoplecert.org. Talk to a learning advisor for a tailored quote.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

It depends on the package. Some bundles include the PeopleCert exam voucher and some do not. PeopleCert prices the exam separately by region and purchasing channel, so ask us which of your options includes the voucher.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for delivery teams and PMOs in Shenzhen. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book and scenario-based, with the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual permitted. It uses objective-test questions, including multiple choice, matching and assertion-reason formats, that require analysis rather than recall.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, and you have 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes) to complete it. It is delivered online via PeopleCert OnVUE proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

What is the passing score for PRINCE2 Practitioner?

The pass mark is 60%, which means at least 42 out of 70 marks. The exam tests applied judgement across the nine syllabus areas, so aim for broad mastery rather than isolated recall.

What does open book mean for this exam?

You may use the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects 7th Edition manual during the exam. However, questions require scenario analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient manual navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

You can resit the exam. Our training includes mock exams and open-book technique practice to prepare you for a confident first sitting, and we can guide you on rebooking through PeopleCert. Confirm the current resit policy on peoplecert.org.

    Course Content

Can I take this course without deep prior experience?

You should hold PRINCE2 Foundation or an accepted equivalent before Practitioner, as the training builds on that base. There is no formal work-experience requirement, though the course is designed for practising and aspiring project managers.

What syllabus areas does the training cover?

The training covers all nine PRINCE2 7 Practitioner syllabus areas: PRINCE2 Principles, PRINCE2 Practices, PRINCE2 Processes, Key Roles and Responsibilities, People Management and Collaboration, Sustainability and ESG, Digital and Data Management, Effective Communication Methods, and Tailoring.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes scenario-based practice questions and full mock exams aligned to the 56-question, 150-minute, open-book format, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PRINCE2 syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the current PeopleCert PRINCE2 7 Practitioner syllabus, including the People Management and Sustainability and ESG areas.

How long is the training programme?

The standalone PRINCE2 Practitioner course is typically 16 hours, delivered as two intensive days or spread across extended sessions. It covers all nine syllabus areas through scenario-based learning and open-book exam technique.
