What Is Kanban and How This Training HelpsUntitledVisual Flow for Every Team

Kanban Training in Cameroon is a practical one-day skills programme that teaches Kanban, the visual, pull-based workflow system that began on Toyota's factory floor and is now a recognised Agile framework. You learn to signal work with cards, boards and bins, so nothing is produced or started until real demand pulls it, which removes overproduction and hidden backlogs. The training suits production and operations managers, supply chain and Lean coordinators, and Agile coaches, Scrum Masters, IT and software delivery leads across Douala, Yaounde and Buea. You build both the manufacturing skill set, including supermarkets, kanban sizing and Just-in-Time pull, and the knowledge-work skill set, including Kanban boards, work-in-progress limits and flow metrics. There is no test to pass and no prior experience needed. Learning is reinforced through hands-on design exercises, and you finish with skills you can apply the very next day.

Why This Training Is Worth Your TimeSkills That Pay off on the Job

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

Kanban training gives you a practical, portable skill that employers across Cameroon value: the ability to make work flow. You learn to visualise a process, limit how much is in progress and use pull signals so work is done just in time, not just in case. Whether you run a factory line in Douala, manage a supply chain, or lead a software team in Yaounde or Buea, the techniques apply directly to your day-to-day work.

By the end of the one-day programme you can design pull systems and Kanban boards, set WIP limits, and read flow metrics with confidence. These are hands-on capabilities you take straight back to your workplace, not theory you have to translate later.

    • Make your team's workflow visible so bottlenecks are spotted early
    • Cut overproduction, excess inventory and long lead times using pull signals
    • Set work-in-progress limits that stop overload and speed up delivery
    • Size kanban loops and supermarkets for Just-in-Time replenishment
    • Measure lead time, cycle time and throughput to forecast delivery honestly
    • Read a Cumulative Flow Diagram to find where work is stuck
    • Apply Kanban and Scrumban across manufacturing, IT and service teams
    • Gain a skill you can use the next day, with no test to pass
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

Kanban group training helps Cameroonian organisations do more with less by teaching teams to remove waste and manage flow. The training can be delivered for a production unit, an IT delivery team or a mixed operational group, using your own real workflows in the exercises. For organisations under pressure to cut cost and deliver reliably, this is a scalable, flexible way to raise operational maturity.

When a whole team shares the same pull-based approach, work in progress falls, bottlenecks become visible, and delivery becomes more predictable. Corporate Kanban training creates that common language across your factory floor and your digital teams alike.

    • Standardise pull-based flow across factory lines and delivery teams
    • Reduce waste, work-in-progress and inventory tied up in the process
    • Improve on-time delivery and predictability using flow metrics
    • Give teams a shared visual language for managing work
    • Train production, IT and service teams together on real workflows
    • Choose flexible delivery: live virtual, classroom or onsite
    • Build in-house Lean and Agile capability that lasts

Cameroon Market Pressures That Make Kanban Valuable

    Overproduction and Excess Stock

Many Cameroonian factories still push output to a schedule, tying up cash in inventory and hiding defects. Kanban makes work only when demand signals it, removing overproduction.

    Kanban replaces push with pull

Long Lead Times in Supply Chains

Douala's logistics and supply chains face delays and variability. Kanban replenishment and supermarket sizing help teams cut lead times and keep materials flowing to real demand.

    Kanban builds pull-based replenishment skills

    Overloaded Software Teams

Growing IT and fintech teams take on more work than they can finish, and multitasking stalls delivery. WIP limits and Kanban boards restore focus and steady flow.

Kanban builds WIP and flow skills

    Weak Delivery Predictability

Boards and clients want reliable dates, but estimates slip. Flow metrics like lead time, cycle time and throughput let teams forecast delivery from real data.

    Kanban builds flow-metric skills

    Scarce Lean and Agile Talent

Employers struggle to find people who can run pull systems and Agile flow. Practical Kanban skills help you stand out in a shallow local talent pool.

Skills You Will Build in This TrainingHands-On Kanban Capabilities

This training turns Kanban theory into capability you can use at work. Through hands-on design exercises, you learn to build pull systems, run boards, limit work in progress and measure flow across both manufacturing and Agile knowledge work.

    Design Pull-Based Production

The first thing you will learn in this Kanban training is how to tell push from pull and set up pull production. A signal, whether a card, bin or electronic trigger, authorises work only when real demand appears, which removes overproduction, the worst waste.

    Size Kanban Loops and Supermarkets

Calculate kanban quantities and the number of cards using demand, lead time and a safety factor, and design supermarkets that keep Just-in-Time replenishment flowing between decoupled process steps.

    Build and Run Kanban Boards

Design boards with columns, swimlanes and a clear definition of done for manufacturing, IT and service workflows, so the whole team can see work move from request to delivery.

    Set and Manage WIP Limits

Set work-in-progress limits that stop overload, expose bottlenecks and shift the team from starting work to finishing it, the defining discipline that makes Kanban work.

    Measure Flow with Real Metrics

Track lead time, cycle time and throughput, apply Little's Law, and use lead-time percentiles to make honest, data-based delivery commitments instead of guessing.

    Read Cumulative Flow Diagrams

Interpret the Cumulative Flow Diagram to see where work in progress is building, where flow stalls, and whether your process is genuinely improving over time.

    Apply Scrumban in Agile Teams

Combine Kanban with Scrum as Scrumban, use classes of service for urgent versus standard work, and run Kanban boards inside Agile and Scaled Agile delivery.

    Plan a Kanban Rollout

Start with what you do now, visualise the current workflow, and roll out Kanban step by step in a factory area or a knowledge-work team without a risky big-bang change.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Kanban is a visual, pull-based system for managing workflow. It uses signals like cards, boards and bins so work is produced or started only when real demand pulls it. This training suits production and operations managers, supply chain and Lean staff, Agile coaches, Scrum Masters, and IT and software delivery leads in Cameroon.

    General

What is Kanban and who is this training for?

Kanban is a visual, pull-based system for managing workflow. It uses signals like cards, boards and bins so work is produced or started only when real demand pulls it. This training suits production and operations managers, supply chain and Lean staff, Agile coaches, Scrum Masters, and IT and software delivery leads in Cameroon.

Is the Kanban training worth it for my career?

Yes. Kanban skills are in demand across Cameroon's manufacturing, telecom, banking and fast-growing software sectors, where employers want people who can cut waste and deliver reliably. You gain a practical capability you can apply the next day in roles from Lean coordinator to operations manager and software delivery lead.

Do I need any prior experience to attend?

No. There are no formal prerequisites and no prior Kanban knowledge is needed. Some familiarity with Lean or operations helps for the manufacturing modules, but the training introduces every concept from first principles, so beginners and experienced professionals both benefit.

Does the training cover both manufacturing and Agile Kanban?

Yes. You learn manufacturing Kanban, including pull production, kanban cards, supermarkets and Just-in-Time sizing, and knowledge-work Kanban, including boards, work-in-progress limits, flow metrics and Scrumban. Kanban is recognised both as a Lean tool and as an Agile framework.

    Where did Kanban come from?

Kanban began in the Toyota Production System, where Taiichi Ohno developed it in the 1950s as a pull-based scheduling method inspired by supermarket replenishment. It was later adapted for software and knowledge work by David J. Anderson, and is now a widely used Agile framework alongside Scrum and SAFe.

    Pricing

How much does the Kanban training cost in Cameroon?

Pricing depends on the delivery format, whether live virtual, classroom or corporate onsite, and on group size. For current fees in your preferred format, request a quote and a learning advisor will share the options that suit you.

What is included in the training fee?

The fee typically covers instructor-led sessions, structured courseware, hands-on Kanban design exercises, learning resources and a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. Ask us for the full inclusions for your chosen format.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for production, IT and service teams. Contact us for a tailored quote for your organisation.

Are there payment or instalment options?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and instalment options are available on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose what works best for you.

Is this good value for a one-day programme?

Yes. In a single day you gain practical skills, pull systems, boards, WIP limits and flow metrics, that you can apply immediately to reduce waste and improve delivery. Request a quote to see current pricing.

    Assessment

Is there a test to pass in the Kanban training?

No. This is a practical skills course with no formal test to pass. Your learning is reinforced through hands-on design exercises, case examples and group discussion during the one-day programme.

Will I receive anything on completion?

Yes. After completing the one-day programme you receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning, recognising that you have finished the training. The skills you gain are immediately usable at work.

How is my learning checked during the course?

Learning is checked informally through practical activities: calculating kanban quantities, designing kanban loops and boards, setting WIP limits and interpreting a Cumulative Flow Diagram. There is no formal grading.

Is this a credential or qualification course?

No. This is a practical skills training programme, not a credential or qualification course. It builds hands-on Kanban capability for both manufacturing and Agile knowledge work, and you finish with a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning.

Do I need to renew anything after the training?

No. There is nothing to renew or maintain. The Kanban skills you learn do not expire and are yours to apply on the job straight away.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the Kanban training?

You will learn to design pull-based production, size kanban loops and supermarkets, build and run Kanban boards, set WIP limits, measure flow with lead time, cycle time and throughput, read a Cumulative Flow Diagram, apply Scrumban, and plan a Kanban rollout at work.

What are WIP limits and why do they matter?

Work-in-progress limits cap how many items a workflow stage can hold at once. They stop teams from starting more than they can finish, expose bottlenecks and improve flow, the discipline that separates real Kanban from a simple task board. You practise setting them in the course.

Which flow metrics does the course cover?

You cover lead time, cycle time and throughput, and how they relate through Little's Law. You also learn to use lead-time percentiles for realistic delivery commitments and to read a Cumulative Flow Diagram to find where work is stuck.

Does the training include hands-on practice?

Yes. Hands-on exercises run throughout the day, including a push versus pull activity, kanban quantity calculation, kanban loop design, Kanban board design and WIP-limit setting, all applied to realistic manufacturing and software scenarios.

What materials and format are provided?

You get structured courseware, worked examples and reference resources, delivered in live virtual, classroom or onsite formats. The one-day, eight-hour programme covers all six Kanban modules with design exercises throughout.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the Kanban training?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. A learning advisor can help you pick the right session.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live online (virtual instructor-led) training, classroom sessions, onsite corporate delivery and customised group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and team in Cameroon.

How long is the training and what are the timings?

The programme runs for one day (eight hours). It can also be delivered as two half-days where that suits a team better. Ask us about upcoming schedules and timings in your time zone.

Can I arrange training for my team onsite?

Yes. We deliver onsite and live virtual corporate training for production, IT and service teams across Douala, Yaounde and other Cameroonian cities, using your own real workflows in the exercises. Contact us to plan a session.

    Can I reschedule my enrolment?

Yes. Flexible options let you reschedule to another session where needed. Reach out to our support team and they will arrange it for you.
