Start building that capability with Invensis Learning.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Business process management is a structured discipline for identifying, modelling, analysing, improving and managing the processes an organisation uses to deliver value. It combines process thinking, BPMN 2.0 modelling, measurement and continuous improvement, and applies across every industry and function.

    General

What is Business Process Management (BPM)?

Business process management is a structured discipline for identifying, modelling, analysing, improving and managing the processes an organisation uses to deliver value. It combines process thinking, BPMN 2.0 modelling, measurement and continuous improvement, and applies across every industry and function.

Is BPM training worth it for professionals in Cameroon?

Yes. As Cameroon's banks, telecoms operators, manufacturers and public bodies digitise, employers increasingly need people who can model, analyse and improve processes. BPM skills map to roles such as business process analyst, business analyst, operations manager and process improvement manager across the country.

Who should attend this BPM course?

The course suits business analysts, process owners, operations and service delivery managers, IT professionals, quality specialists and change practitioners. Anyone responsible for designing, running or improving a business process in any sector will benefit.

Do I need prior experience to take BPM training?

No. There are no formal prerequisites. The course introduces BPM from first principles, so some familiarity with business operations helps but is not required. It is open to professionals at foundation and practitioner level.

Which standards and frameworks does the course cover?

The training is built around the BPM lifecycle and BPMN 2.0 (ISO/IEC 19510), the international standard for process modelling. It also draws on the ABPMP BPM Common Body of Knowledge (CBOK), the process approach of ISO 9001:2015, and Lean and Six Sigma improvement tools.

    Pricing

How much does BPM training cost in Cameroon?

Fees depend on your chosen format, such as live online, classroom or corporate onsite, and on group size. Pricing is available on request. Contact a learning advisor for a quote that fits how you want to learn.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee covers instructor-led training across all six BPM modules, hands-on BPMN modelling and process analysis exercises, courseware and reference materials, learner support, and a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We provide corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for operations, IT, quality and back-office teams. Ask us about corporate pricing for a tailored quote.

Are payment or instalment options available?

Yes. We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

Is there a separate exam fee?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination, so there is no exam fee. You pay only for the training, which builds practical BPM skills you can apply immediately.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for the BPM training?

No. This is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on BPMN process modelling, process analysis workshops and group discussion during the programme.

Do I receive anything after completing the training?

Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. This is a record of attendance and skill-building, not an external credential, as BPM has no awarding body or certification exam.

How is learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply BPM techniques throughout the day through modelling exercises, process analysis and redesign activities, so you practise the skills as you learn them.

    Is BPM a certification?

No. BPM is a management discipline, not a certification. There is no single governing body for the discipline itself. This course builds practical process skills grounded in BPMN 2.0 and established BPM practice, rather than preparing you for an exam.

    How long is the training?

The programme runs for one day (8 hours), covering all six BPM modules. It can also be delivered as two half-days. Corporate sessions can be scheduled flexibly around your team's availability.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the BPM course?

You learn the full BPM lifecycle: identifying and modelling processes with BPMN 2.0, analysing them for waste and bottlenecks, redesigning for speed and quality, setting process KPIs, and enabling automation and continuous improvement.

Does the course cover BPMN 2.0 process modelling?

Yes. BPMN 2.0 is central to the course. You practise drawing swimlane diagrams with events, gateways and tasks, and build both as-is and to-be models from real process descriptions.

    Are there hands-on exercises?

Yes. The training is practical throughout, with process modelling exercises, waste and root cause analysis, and redesign workshops so you leave able to apply the techniques to your own processes.

Does it cover automation, BPMS and RPA?

Yes. The final module covers how business process management systems (BPMS) and robotic process automation (RPA) support process execution, along with process governance, monitoring and the role of BPM in digital transformation.

Can I apply BPM in my sector?

Yes. BPM applies to every industry and function, from banking, telecoms and manufacturing to the public sector. The methodology and BPMN 2.0 notation work the same way regardless of the processes you manage.
