    The PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle, with at least 8 PDUs in each of Ways of Working, Power Skills and Business Acumen, within each three-year cycle.

    What is the format of the PgMP exam?

    The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. Questions span five performance domains and are delivered via Pearson VUE online proctoring or at a test centre.

    How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours (240 minutes). It uses single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats.

    What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

    Five domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%). These weights come from the current PgMP ECO, aligned to the 4th Edition of the Standard for Program Management.

    What is the PgMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

    What is the passing score, and can I retake the exam?

    PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score, so no fixed percentage is published; results are reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement by domain. You get up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility period, and reexamination fees apply.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the ECO, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness across all five domains.

    Do I need prior experience to take this training?

    Anyone can attend the training, but the PgMP exam requires substantial experience. PMI sets three eligibility sets combining education with project and programme management experience within the past 15 years. We help you check which set you meet.

    Will I receive a certificate of completion?

    Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which also count as PDUs.

    What are the eligibility requirements for the PgMP?

    PMI offers three sets. With a secondary diploma: 48 months of project management experience or an active PMP, plus 84 months of programme management experience. With a four-year degree: the same PM requirement plus 48 months of programme experience. A GAC-accredited degree reduces the programme requirement to 36 months.

    How do I enrol in the PgMP course?
