Do I receive a certificate after the course?

Yes. You receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning once you complete the programme. This recognises your attendance and practical work; it is not a formal certification from an external awarding body.

How is my learning assessed?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply each Azure DevOps service through guided, hands-on exercises during the session, building a pipeline, writing infrastructure as code and setting up monitoring, so you leave able to do the work.

What will I be able to do after the course?

You will be able to create Azure Repos with branch policies, write a YAML CI/CD pipeline, deploy to Azure App Service or AKS, write and deploy a Bicep template, and set up Azure Monitor and Application Insights dashboards.

Is Azure DevOps itself a certification?

No. Azure DevOps is a set of Microsoft cloud tools, and this course is practical skills training rather than a credential programme. There is no awarding body or exam attached to the training; the focus is real, applicable capability.

Course Content

What topics are covered in the training?

The course spans DevOps principles and the Azure DevOps ecosystem, source control and CI with Azure Repos and Pipelines, continuous delivery with multi-stage pipelines, agile planning and infrastructure as code, containers with ACR and AKS, and DevSecOps and monitoring.

How long is the Azure DevOps training?

The course runs as an intensive one-day programme of eight hours, covering all six modules with concept explanations, Azure context and hands-on exercises throughout. A half-day format across two days offering the same eight hours is also available.

Do I need an Azure account before attending?

Yes. You should have access to an Azure subscription and an Azure DevOps organisation before the session. Azure DevOps has a free tier for up to five users at dev.azure.com. Check whether a shared training environment is provided when you book.

Does the course include hands-on labs?

Yes. Practical work runs throughout the day. You follow the instructor in the live Azure DevOps portal and Azure CLI, configuring repositories, pipelines, infrastructure as code, containers and monitoring using realistic scenarios.

Which DevOps frameworks and practices are covered?

You learn the CALMS framework, The Three Ways of DevOps, DORA metrics for measuring performance, YAML pipeline as code, infrastructure as code with ARM and Bicep, and DevSecOps practices using Microsoft Defender for DevOps.
