What topics does the AWS DevOps syllabus cover?

The syllabus covers six modules: DevOps and the AWS ecosystem; source control and CI with CodeCommit and CodeBuild; continuous delivery with CodeDeploy and CodePipeline; infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and the AWS CDK; containers with ECS and EKS; and monitoring, DevSecOps and continuous improvement.

How long is the AWS DevOps course?

The programme runs for one day, totalling eight hours, and can also be delivered as two half-day sessions. All six modules are covered with hands-on AWS exercises throughout the day.

Which AWS tools will I work with?

You work with the AWS DevOps toolchain: CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy and CodePipeline for CI/CD; CloudFormation and the AWS CDK for infrastructure as code; Amazon ECS, EKS and ECR for containers; and Amazon CloudWatch and X-Ray for monitoring.

Does the course include hands-on practice?

Yes. Hands-on work runs throughout. You follow the trainer using the AWS Console and CLI to build pipelines, define infrastructure as code, deploy containers and set up CloudWatch alarms and dashboards, so you practise every tool as you learn it.

Is the content kept current with AWS services?

Yes. AWS updates its services frequently, and the courseware reflects the current AWS DevOps toolchain and practices. You learn the services and patterns teams use in production today.
