    Is the PfMP worth it for professionals in Brunei?

    Is the PfMP recognised in Brunei?

    Yes. PfMP is a globally recognised PMI credential valued by employers across Brunei and worldwide, including oil and gas, Islamic finance, government and infrastructure organisations that run large project portfolios.

    What are the prerequisites for the PfMP?

    PMI sets three requirement sets. All need 120 months (10 years) of business experience within the last 15 years, plus portfolio management experience of 84 months (secondary diploma), 48 months (bachelor's degree) or 36 months (GAC-accredited degree). A subject-matter-expert panel review also applies.

    How long is the PfMP valid and how do I renew it?

    PfMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

    The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

    How much does PfMP training cost in Bandar Seri Begawan?

    Instructor-led PfMP training fees in Brunei are available on request and vary by format and cohort. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD under regional pricing and is not part of the training fee. Request a quote in BND from a learning advisor.

    Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

    What happens if I do not pass the PfMP exam on the first attempt?

    PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our preparation resources, mock exams and trainer guidance are designed to help you pass with confidence.

    How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

    The PfMP exam has 170 questions and a total allotted time of four hours (240 minutes). It is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination.

    What is the format of the PfMP exam?

    The PfMP exam is a computer-based, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. Questions are distributed across the five performance domains and are largely scenario-based.

    What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis, and performance is reported by domain, so focus on broad mastery across all five domains.

    Where can I take the PfMP exam in Brunei?

    You can sit the PfMP exam through Pearson VUE, either via OnVUE online proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre, once your application is approved and you have cleared the panel review.

    What is the PfMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

    Do I need prior experience to take PfMP training?

    Anyone can enrol in the training to build portfolio knowledge and contact hours. To sit the PfMP exam, however, PMI requires significant business and portfolio management experience plus a panel review, so the training best suits senior professionals.

    What topics are covered in the PfMP training?

    The training covers the five PfMP performance domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%), plus application and exam strategy.

    Which standard is the courseware aligned to?

    The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PfMP Examination Content Outline, so your preparation reflects what the exam actually tests.

    Are practice tests, mock exams and assignments included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness across all five domains.

    Will I receive a certificate of completion after the training?

    Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which support your PfMP application.
