    The CSPO credential is valid for two years. You renew it by earning 16 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and paying the Scrum Alliance membership renewal fee. A two-year Scrum Alliance membership is included when you complete the course.

    How is the CSPO certification awarded?

    CSPO is awarded on successful completion of an approved course delivered by a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer (CST). There is no exam. After the course, you accept the Scrum Alliance licence agreement and code of ethics to activate the credential.

    Is there an exam for CSPO?

    No. The CSPO certification has no examination. Attendance and participation in the approved Certified Scrum Trainer led course is the sole requirement, and the credential is then issued through your Scrum Alliance member account.

    Who issues the CSPO credential?

    Scrum Alliance issues the CSPO credential. Invensis Learning delivers the training aligned to the Scrum Alliance CSPO curriculum and led by a Certified Scrum Trainer, after which the certification is granted directly by Scrum Alliance.

    How do I maintain and renew my CSPO credential?

    What will I learn in the CSPO training?

    You learn the Scrum framework from the Product Owner's view: defining product vision and the Product Goal, managing and ordering the Product Backlog, writing effective user stories, engaging stakeholders, and planning incremental releases that maximise value.

    Can a beginner follow the course content?

    Yes. The course assumes no prior Scrum knowledge and builds from the fundamentals, so beginners can follow it comfortably while experienced practitioners deepen their product ownership skills. Hands-on exercises and case studies support every topic.

    Is the content aligned with the current Scrum framework?

    Yes. The courseware follows the Scrum Alliance CSPO Learning Objectives and is aligned to the current Scrum Guide, including the Product Goal as the Product Backlog commitment introduced in the November 2020 edition.
