Is there an exam for the QFD training?

No. QFD training has no exam. Learning is reinforced through hands-on House of Quality exercises, case studies and team discussion during the one-day programme.

Will I receive a certificate after the course?

Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning after completing the one-day programme. There is no separate credential or awarding body, as this is a practical skills course.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you build and interpret a real House of Quality through guided exercises, which lets you and the trainer confirm your understanding as you go.

What will I be able to do after completing the training?

You will be able to capture and structure the Voice of the Customer, build a complete House of Quality, calculate design priorities, resolve conflicts using the correlation roof, and cascade QFD through parts, process and production planning.

What topics does the QFD training cover?

The course covers QFD foundations and the business case, Voice of the Customer capture, full House of Quality construction, interpreting the matrix, the four-phase QFD cascade, and QFD in Design for Six Sigma, DMAIC and services.

How long is the QFD course?

The programme runs for one day (8 hours), covering all six QFD modules with concept explanations, real-world examples and hands-on House of Quality exercises. A half-day format over two sessions is also available.

Does the course cover the House of Quality in detail?

Yes. You build the House of Quality room by room: customer requirements, engineering characteristics, the relationship matrix, the correlation roof, competitive benchmarking and engineering targets.

Is QFD applicable to services as well as products?

Yes. While QFD began in manufacturing, the course covers its use in services such as healthcare, financial services and IT, and in software, where customer requirements must be translated into delivery specifications.
