    What is the format of the EXIN ASM exam?

    The EXIN ASM exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination with 40 questions to be completed in 90 minutes. It is delivered through EXIN online proctoring or at an accredited testing location.

    What is the passing score for the ASM exam?

    You need 65% to pass, which is 26 of the 40 questions correct. Questions are distributed across the five EXIN topic areas, so aim for broad mastery rather than focusing on any single area.

    How is the ASM exam delivered?

    You can sit the exam online with EXIN remote proctoring from home or office, or at an EXIN accredited testing location. The exam is also available through accredited training providers as part of a training package.

    What if I do not pass the first time?

    You can retake the EXIN ASM exam if you do not pass. Our training includes mock exams and preparation support to build your readiness, and a learning advisor can explain the current EXIN re-sit process and fees.

    Which standard is the ASM exam based on?

    The exam is based on the EXIN Agile Scrum Master examination specification, aligned to the Scrum Guide and the Agile Manifesto. It tests applied facilitation and coaching skills across five topic areas, not just recall.

    The training covers the five EXIN ASM topic areas: Agile Way of Thinking (20%), Scrum Master Role (25%), Agile Estimating, Planning, Monitoring and Control (27.5%), Complex Projects (12.5%) and Adopting Agile (15%), plus exam strategy.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes. While Agile Scrum Foundation knowledge is recommended, the course revisits the Scrum framework essentials before going deeper into the Scrum Master role. With some agile exposure and the support provided, beginners can follow along and prepare for the exam.
