    What is the format of the EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation exam?

    The exam is closed-book and made up of multiple-choice questions with a single answer each. It is based on the EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation Examination Specification, aligned to the Scrum Guide and the Agile Manifesto.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and you have 60 minutes to complete it. The pass mark is 65%, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly.

    How is the EXIN exam delivered?

    You can take the exam through EXIN online proctoring from home or office, or at an EXIN accredited testing location. It is also available via accredited training providers as part of a training package.

    What topics does the exam cover?

    The exam covers five topic areas: Agile Way of Thinking, Scrum Practices, Scrum Planning and Estimation, Monitoring Scrum Projects, and Advanced Scrum Concepts, all at a foundational comprehension level.

    What happens if I do not pass the first time?

    You can re-sit the EXIN exam if you do not pass on your first attempt; re-sit fees and policy are set by EXIN. Our training includes practice questions and mock assessments to help you prepare thoroughly and reduce the need for a retake.

    What will I learn in the ASF training?

    You will learn the agile mindset and the Agile Manifesto, the Scrum framework of roles, events and artifacts, agile planning and estimation, how to monitor projects with burndown charts and velocity, and advanced concepts such as scaling and continuous improvement.

    How long is the training and how is it delivered?

    The programme runs for around 16 hours, commonly delivered over two days, in online (live virtual) instructor-led or classroom formats. Self-paced and corporate group options are also available to fit your schedule.

    Can a complete beginner follow this course?

    Yes. The course assumes no prior agile or Scrum knowledge and builds from the agile mindset upward. Trainers use practical examples and exercises so beginners can follow along and apply the concepts.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive EXIN-aligned courseware, practice questions and mock assessments, and supporting resources mapped to the five examination topic areas. These help you reinforce understanding and build exam readiness.

    Will I receive a certificate of completion?

    Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. Passing the EXIN exam separately earns you the official EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation certificate and digital badge.
