Practical Value You Take Back to the FloorWhat VSM Training Delivers

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

VSM training helps professionals build the single most useful Lean skill: the ability to see and improve the whole flow of value, not just one process step. The course suits operations managers, engineers, quality specialists and improvement leaders who want to remove waste and lift productivity. Whether you work in an automotive supplier, an electronics plant, a pharmaceutical line or a logistics operation, you learn to map what really happens, then redesign it for flow.

If you want a practical skill that pays off immediately at work, VSM is a strong choice. You gain a shared visual language for improvement, hands-on mapping practice, and a clear method to move from a current-state diagnosis to a future-state plan your team can deliver.

    • See your end-to-end process in a single view and pinpoint where value leaks out
    • Master a diagnostic tool employers ask for across manufacturing and services
    • Turn improvement ideas into a prioritised, future-state plan you can act on
    • Cut lead time, inventory and waiting by designing flow and pull to takt time
    • Facilitate mapping workshops that align operations, quality and engineering
    • Strengthen your profile for Lean and continuous improvement roles in Bulgaria
    • Apply a portable method across factories, logistics, healthcare and IT delivery
    • Practise on realistic scenarios, so you leave able to map on day one
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

VSM group training helps organisations build improvement capability by equipping cross-functional teams to map, analyse and redesign their value streams together. The training can be delivered for a single line, a plant or several sites. For Bulgarian manufacturers and service operations under pressure to lift productivity, this creates a scalable, practical way to standardise how teams see and remove waste.

If your teams talk about flow problems but never make them visible, group VSM training gives them a shared method and language. They leave with a current-state map of a real value stream, a future-state design, and an implementation plan you can start on straight away.

    • Builds a shared, standard way to visualise and improve flow across teams
    • Connects operational activity to customer value and reduces waste
    • Cuts lead time, work in progress and inventory across the value stream
    • Turns Lean intent into sequenced Kaizen and a clear improvement roadmap
    • Delivers a real value stream mapped during the session, not just theory
    • Develops in-house facilitation capability for self-sustaining improvement
    • Scales across sites and shifts through flexible, tailored delivery
    • Strengthens competitiveness as wages rise and margins tighten

Where VSM Skills Lead in BulgariaRoles, Demand and Sectors Hiring

Value Stream Mapping has become a core Lean skill for Bulgaria's manufacturing and service employers, from automotive parts and electronics makers to pharmaceutical, logistics and IT operations. As euro adoption and rising wages push firms to lift productivity rather than rely on low-cost labour, people who can expose waste and design better flow are in demand, and Value Stream Mapping training is how many professionals build that capability. Roles range from process and continuous improvement engineers to quality, operations and supply chain managers, and here is what the market is telling us right now.

What Is Driving Demand for Lean Flow Skills in Bulgaria

    Efficiency over Cheap Labour

Wages in Bulgaria are rising far faster than productivity, so the old low-cost model is under pressure. Employers now need people who can lift output by removing waste, exactly what VSM teaches.

VSM builds waste-elimination and flow skills

    Euro Adoption and Margin Pressure

The switch to the euro in January 2026 and related inflation are squeezing margins. Leaner value streams with less waiting and inventory help firms protect competitiveness.

VSM builds lead-time and inventory reduction skills

    Automotive OEM Lean Demands

With 270-plus parts suppliers and over 80,000 jobs, Bulgaria's automotive base must meet OEM Lean and IATF expectations. That demands teams fluent in mapping and improving flow.

VSM supports Lean production system compliance

    Scarce Engineering Talent

With unemployment at a record 3.1% and three to six month hiring lead times for engineers, firms cannot simply add headcount. Improving flow lets existing teams deliver more.

VSM helps teams do more with the same people

    Nearshoring Growth

As Bulgaria grows into a European manufacturing hub, plants are scaling fast. Without a clear view of the value stream, new volume creates bottlenecks, excess inventory and delay.

VSM gives scaling plants flow visibility

    Legacy Batch-And-Push Operations

Many operations still run to schedule and forecast, piling up work in progress and waiting. VSM makes that waste visible and shows where to introduce continuous flow and pull.

VSM reveals and removes hidden waste

VSM is more than a diagnostic tool. It is the skill that turns Lean intent into leaner operations. Join professionals in Bulgaria who make flow visible and design out waste. Start your journey today.

    Your Bulgaria Career Transformation

From Chasing Delays to Designing Flow

    Where VSM Skills Take You

Bulgarian manufacturers and service operations are under real pressure to lift productivity as wages rise and the euro arrives. Employers increasingly separate people who can see and fix flow from those who only run the process. Here is which side of that line VSM skills put you on.

    Today

You spot problems late, once delays and rework have already hit output

    After VSM

You map the whole value stream and catch waste before it reaches the customer

    Today

Improvement ideas are scattered and hard to prioritise

    After VSM

You target the bottleneck and the biggest wastes with a clear future-state plan

    Today

Pay tracks a general operations role in a tight market

    After VSM

You qualify for Lean and continuous improvement roles that pay above the plant average

    You master VSM

    Before

Flow problems are discussed but never made visible

    Now you have

A shared current-state map your whole team can read and act on

    Before

Batch-and-push habits pile up inventory and waiting

    Now you have

Future-state designs that build continuous flow and pull to takt time

    Before

Improvement efforts fade without a clear plan

    Now you have

An implementation roadmap that sequences Kaizen and sustains the gains

    Before

Skills tied to one plant or a single process

    Now you have

A portable Lean method used across manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and IT

"The gap between running a process and improving a value stream is a skill, and the employers that matter in Bulgaria already know it."

The VSM Skills You Will Put to WorkMapping, Analysis and Flow Design

This one-day programme builds the practical capability to map, analyse and improve a value stream end to end. By the close of the day you can create both a current-state and a future-state map and turn them into a plan your team can deliver.

    Map the Current State

In this VSM course you learn to walk the value stream on a Gemba walk, capture cycle time, changeover, uptime and inventory, and draw an honest current-state map with a timeline that contrasts value-added time against total lead time.

    Spot the Eight Wastes

Read a map for the eight Lean wastes, remembered as DOWNTIME: defects, overproduction, waiting, non-utilised talent, transportation, inventory, motion and extra processing, so you can see exactly where value leaks out.

    Analyse Flow and Takt Time

Calculate takt time, find the bottleneck that limits output, and tell push flow from pull, then prioritise the highest-impact improvement opportunities and mark them with Kaizen bursts.

    Design the Future State

Apply the eight future-state questions to design continuous flow, pull systems and supermarkets, level the production mix, and set a single pacemaker so the value stream runs to real customer demand.

    Use Standard VSM Symbols

Work fluently with the standard VSM symbol set, process and data boxes, material and information flow arrows, inventory triangles and kanban, so your maps read the same way across any team or site.

    Build an Improvement Roadmap

Turn the future-state map into a sequenced implementation plan, scope Kaizen events, set baseline metrics, and standardise the new ways of working so the improvements actually stick.

Yes. As Bulgarian manufacturers face rising wages, euro adoption and OEM Lean requirements, employers value people who can expose waste and improve flow. VSM is a core skill across automotive, electronics, pharmaceuticals, logistics and IT operations.

Who should attend the VSM course?

It suits operations and manufacturing managers, process and industrial engineers, quality specialists, Lean and Six Sigma practitioners, and supply chain professionals. In short, anyone responsible for identifying and removing waste in end-to-end process flows.

Do I need prior Lean experience?

No. There are no formal prerequisites. Some familiarity with Lean ideas such as waste and flow helps, but the course introduces every concept it uses, so both beginners and experienced practitioners benefit.

Where did Value Stream Mapping come from?

VSM grew out of the Toyota Production System and was popularised for Lean practitioners by Mike Rother and John Shook in their 1998 book Learning to See. There is no single governing body; it is an established, vendor-neutral Lean technique.

    Pricing

How much does VSM training cost in Bulgaria?

Fees vary by delivery format (live online, classroom or on-site corporate) and group size, so pricing is available on request. Contact a learning advisor for a current quote for public or in-house sessions in Bulgaria.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically covers instructor-led delivery of all six VSM modules, hands-on mapping exercises, course materials, reusable VSM templates and worked examples, and a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. Request a quote for the full inclusions.

Is there a discount for group or corporate training?

Yes. Volume-based pricing is available for teams and multiple cohorts, and corporate sessions can be tailored to your operations. Ask about group pricing for your Bulgarian team.

What currency is the training priced in?

Since Bulgaria adopted the euro on 1 January 2026, pricing is quoted in euro (EUR). Exact fees depend on the format and group size and are available on request.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfer, and instalment options are available on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Assessment And Completion

Is there an exam for VSM training?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on current-state and future-state mapping exercises and group discussion during the day.

Do I get a certificate after the course?

You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. No external credential is awarded, because VSM has no formal governing body. The real value is the practical skill you can apply immediately at work.

How am I assessed during the training?

There is no formal assessment. Instead you practise throughout the day by building both a current-state and a future-state map for a realistic scenario, with trainer feedback as you go.

How long is the VSM course?

The programme runs for one day (eight hours), covering Lean foundations, VSM symbols, current-state mapping, analysis, future-state design and implementation planning, with mapping exercises throughout.

Will the skills expire or need renewal?

No. The skills do not expire and there is nothing to renew. Once you can map and improve a value stream, you can apply the method to any process, in manufacturing or services, straight away.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the VSM course?

You will learn to select a product family, walk the value stream, capture process data, draw a current-state map, spot the eight wastes, calculate takt time, find the bottleneck, design a future state, and build an implementation roadmap.

What are the eight wastes covered?

The course covers the eight Lean wastes, remembered as DOWNTIME: defects, overproduction, waiting, non-utilised talent, transportation, inventory, motion and extra processing, and shows how a value stream map makes each of them visible.

    Are there hands-on exercises?

Yes. The course is built around practice. You create both a current-state and a future-state value stream map for a realistic operational scenario, so you leave able to run a mapping session at work.

Does the course use standard VSM symbols?

Yes. You learn the standard VSM symbol set, process and data boxes, material and information flow arrows, inventory triangles, kanban and Kaizen bursts, so your maps are consistent and easy for any team to read.

Can VSM be applied outside manufacturing?

Absolutely. While rooted in manufacturing, VSM is applied to healthcare pathways, logistics, financial services back-office processes and software delivery, anywhere materials or information flow to a customer.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?
