Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI-RMP is PMI's specialist certification in project risk management, recognising your ability to assess, identify and mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities. It is designed for risk managers, senior project managers, risk analysts, consultants and PMO professionals who specialise in project and programme risk.

    General

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

The PMI-RMP is PMI's specialist certification in project risk management, recognising your ability to assess, identify and mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities. It is designed for risk managers, senior project managers, risk analysts, consultants and PMO professionals who specialise in project and programme risk.

Is the PMI-RMP worth it for professionals in Plovdiv?

Yes. Plovdiv's manufacturing base, growing IT and outsourcing sector and financial employers run capital-intensive projects where risk management is essential, and certified specialists are scarce. Risk manager roles in Bulgaria average around 38,500 euro gross a year. Talk to a learning advisor about your goals.

    Is the PMI-RMP recognised internationally?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PMI-RMP is recognised by employers worldwide. It is especially valued in high-risk sectors such as manufacturing, construction, energy and financial services, where formal project risk management is often contractually or regulatorily required.

Do I need a PMP before taking the PMI-RMP?

No. A PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your risk management experience and education. Many holders do hold both, as the two credentials are complementary.

How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years from the date of certification. To maintain it, you earn 30 professional development units (PDUs) in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification cycle.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMI-RMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, the 32 contact hours of risk management education, practice questions, mock exams, an exam simulator, application guidance and learner support with a completion certificate. Request a quote for the current inclusions.

How much does PMI-RMP training cost in Plovdiv?

Fees vary by format and schedule, and local training is quoted in euro following Bulgaria's 2026 euro adoption. Pricing is available on request. Contact a learning advisor for a tailored quote and upcoming batches.

How much is the PMI-RMP exam fee?

PMI bills the exam fee separately. For reference, it is around USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members; verify current fees at pmi.org, as prices vary by region. PMI membership, about USD 139 a year, reduces the exam cost.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, engineering teams and delivery units. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

What payment methods and instalment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

The exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions, based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022. It is delivered through Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 115 questions and you have 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete it. The questions use single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

There are five domains per the January 2022 outline: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed numeric pass mark. Results are determined through psychometric analysis and reported with domain-level feedback, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains rather than a single target percentage.

What are the eligibility requirements and how many retakes are allowed?

You need a secondary diploma with 36 months of risk experience and 40 hours of education, or a bachelor's degree with 24 months and 30 hours (12 months for a GAC-accredited degree). Up to three attempts are allowed within the one-year eligibility window.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the PMI-RMP training?

You will learn to plan risk strategy, identify risks, run qualitative and quantitative analysis, plan and implement risk responses, and monitor and close risks. The content maps directly to the five exam domains and covers predictive, agile and hybrid delivery.

Does the training meet the PMI-RMP education requirement?

Yes for degree holders. The programme provides 32 contact hours, which fully meets the 30-hour education requirement for candidates with a bachelor's degree or a GAC-accredited degree. Candidates with a secondary diploma need 40 hours and should add supplementary study.

What learning resources and practice are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions mapped to the exam, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator, templates and topic-wise quizzes to identify weak areas and build readiness for the 115-question exam.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PMI-RMP outline?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline, effective January 2022, and to PMI's Practice Standard for Project Risk Management.

Do I need prior experience to attend the training?

No. Anyone can attend the training to build risk skills and earn the contact hours. To sit the exam, however, PMI requires the risk management experience and education set out in its eligibility requirements.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the PMI-RMP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Contact a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions, self-paced e-learning and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

How soon can I start the PMI-RMP training?

New batches run regularly in live online and classroom formats, and self-paced learning lets you start straight away. See upcoming schedules or talk to a learning advisor to pick a start date that suits you.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans let you attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.
