    The bridge exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions covering only what is new and changed in ITIL 5. It is delivered online with PeopleCert remote proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 20 multiple-choice questions and a duration of 30 minutes. It tests only the ITIL 5 updates rather than the full Foundation syllabus.

    What score do I need to pass the bridge exam?

    You need 65%, which is 13 of the 20 questions correct, to pass. Focus your preparation on the new ITIL 5 concepts, language and value approach covered in the bridge.

    What is the prerequisite for the bridge exam?

    You must hold ITIL 4 Foundation or an equivalent to take the bridge. It assumes that knowledge and tests only the ITIL 5 changes, not foundational content you already know.

    How do I book the exam, and can I resit it?

    After your training you schedule the exam through PeopleCert, either online with remote proctoring available 24/7 or at an authorised test centre. If you do not pass first time, you can resit by booking a new attempt, for which a re-examination fee applies.
