    What is the format of the EXIN ASM exam?

    The EXIN Agile Scrum Master exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination. It can be taken through EXIN online proctoring or at an accredited test location, and is based on the EXIN ASM examination specification aligned to the Scrum Guide.

    How many questions are on the ASM exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and an allotted time of 90 minutes. The questions are distributed across the five EXIN ASM topic areas, from the agile way of thinking to adopting agile.

    What is the passing score for the EXIN ASM exam?

    You need 65% to pass, which is 26 of the 40 questions correct. The exam tests applied understanding of the Scrum Master role, so focus on facilitation, coaching, estimation and agile adoption across all five topic areas.

    Do I need Agile Scrum Foundation before taking ASM?

    EXIN recommends Agile Scrum Foundation knowledge as the intended entry point, and ASM is the second level in the EXIN Agile Scrum scheme. It is recommended rather than strictly enforced, so confirm the current policy with EXIN before booking.
