Market Forces Driving IT Governance Assessment Demand in Australia

    Operational Resilience Under CPS 230

    Cyber GRC Skills Shortage

Australia faces a nationwide shortage of cyber governance, risk and compliance specialists, with an estimated 54,000 more skilled people needed by 2030. Credentialed assessors are scarce and sought-after.

COBIT 5 Assessor makes certified assessors stand out

COBIT 5 Assessor builds evidence and rating skills

    Cloud and Digital Transformation

Rapid cloud adoption and digital change stretch governance frameworks, and enterprises need assessors who can measure whether IT processes are actually managed, established and predictable.

COBIT 5 Assessor builds capability assessment skills

    Third-Party and Supply-Chain Risk

Deep supplier access to critical systems has widened the assurance scope, and regulators expect evidence that third-party governance processes meet defined capability levels.

    Public Sector Accountability

Government departments and audit bodies face rising accountability expectations, driving demand for professionals who can run repeatable, defensible COBIT 5 capability assessments.

Skills You Will Master to Run Capability AssessmentsFrom This Assessor Programme

This COBIT 5 Assessor programme teaches you to plan, conduct, rate and report a formal process capability assessment end to end. You apply the PAM, the six capability levels, the nine process attributes and the four-point rating scale to realistic IT governance scenarios at application and analysis level.

The COBIT 5 Process Assessment Model (PAM)

This programme teaches you to apply the two-dimensional PAM end to end, working across the process dimension of 37 COBIT 5 processes and the capability dimension, using Base Practices, Work Products and Generic Practices as your evidence foundation.

    The Six Capability Levels

Assess processes against the six capability levels, from Level 0 Incomplete through Performed, Managed, Established and Predictable to Level 5 Optimising, and determine the overall capability of each process from its attribute ratings.

    The Nine Process Attributes

Work confidently with all nine process attributes, from PA 1.1 Process Performance to PA 5.2 Process Optimisation, understanding what each measures and what evidence demonstrates achievement at every level.

    The Four-Point Rating Scale

Apply the Not Achieved, Partially Achieved, Largely Achieved and Fully Achieved rating scale consistently, anchoring each rating in evidence and using the threshold rules to derive a defensible capability level.

    Assessment Planning and Execution

Plan and run a formal assessment, from scoping with the goals cascade and selecting the lead and competency assessors, through interviews, document review, observation and reaching rating consensus.

    Evidence, Rating and Reporting
